Like a (very ugly, middle-aged) virgin, mixed for the very first time

Have just mixed up three simple tobacco tastes, HS Desert Ship pg70 vg30 18mg 5ml 6% flavour; DV Virginia pg70 vg30 18mg 5ml 7% flavour; FA or PA (Can't recall which I actually purchased right now) RY4 pg60 vg40 18mg 5ml 15% flavour.

Have put in a dark cupboard for 24 hours, open topped (Are their bright cupboards? Narnia was a wardrobe, not a cupboard, before anyone says, and was, still, initially, quite dark)

There is a forth bottle amongst them, because I forgot what bottle was what, and what amounts of flavour had gone where, so it is labelled, 'Disaster', and is a sturdy mix of desert ship and virginia, so it may be okay.

I shall use this thread to log updates and further experiments, if nobody minds, any input welcome.

I am getting some eucalyptus mint during the week, and want to try it in a mix with lemon and honey concentrates I have already recieved, just as an initial further foray to think about. The honey is PA, as reviewed by Bryan123456, who said it was a sturdy flavour, so I reckon it could stand up well in such a blend.

Nice one i will be keeping an eye on your creations i to am just starting mixing and i must say my first Ry4 is actually really good I use a few drops & i mean a few 2 drops in 5ml is dulce de leche

My Cappuccino with Vanilla is not as good mind you i think we will be trying loads of Flavors out & if our taste are alike could be of use to each other

Both mine are at 24mg / ml & 70/30 VG-PG

Yup, I defo want to experiment with the RY4 after I see what it actually tastes like, not that I will from my first try, but shall be popping over to vapour generations market stall to see if they have any in stock next weekend.

We appear to be pg/vg opposites, at the moment though, but it is early days for me, so we shall see how that goes. But I do like a good hit.

Found no issues syringing out the vg, all the same, finest Boots bp.

Hope your results are good. I ended up at 10% with DV Virginia - though it is a civilized tobacco additive.

I've posted this somewhere before but it's a handy hint so ill do it again if you hammer a small hole in the top of the boots bottle lid you can then put the syringe in there and tip the bottle. As the bottle empties it gets harder to get the stuff out and I hate to waste anything but this way you can get every last drop. I used an average sized Philips screwdriver and just kept tapping it in until it was the perfect fit for the syringe. I'll stick a photo of my creation up tomorrow so you can see my amazing handy work skills

I'm a total pig when it comes to flavours... I often use up to 30% flavourings in my mixes (although I don't use tobacco type flavours).

Vaping on 'Disaster' sounds like it could be quite adventurous.

The mixing gets easier the more you do it and I've often found that leaving mixes to steep for a week enhances the flavours a fair bit.

Cheers all, yeah, steeping, my plan is to leave bottles open in a cupboard (DARK cupboard, it very much enjoys the work of Edgar Allan Poe, is pale, and a tad introverted) for 24 hours, currently happening, then cap, shake, and leave for a week. I have heard that leaving it a second week, opening now and then to oxidize is even better, but maybe that is just in terms of coloration?
I won't put anything in the fridge, as I live in a shared house, and as much as I'd love to poison the other occupants at times, I can't think of a good enough reason not to to finish this sentence, it would be bad karma, perhaps.

Any tips on cleaning plastic syringes, needles, pipettes? I ordered and received a decent amount of these, from Liberty Flights, but I don't want to throw them away after on use, it seems wasteful. After I did my mixes last night, I filled the bathroom sink with hot water, drop what I'd used in, pumped the syringes through with the water a few times. Didn't use anything other than the hot water though. Is this wise, or, is a more rigorous, disinfectant-type approach required?

If you wanted to be a bit more thorough, you could always use some sterilising solution (same stuff as used for baby's bottles).

I used to use sterlising solution, but these days I just tend to wash out syringes etc. with hot water and washing up liquid (rinsed afterwords) and leave to dry.

I suppose I'm just lazy but I haven't managed to poison myself or anything .... yet.

As promised here is my solution to getting vg out of the boots bottle. Now brace yourself cos my engineering skills are that amazing, but hey it works

just remember to keep the lid when you've finished the bottle!

Speaking of crystals, just popped to Tesco's, and grabbed some menthol crystals, which I may try and do a test run with on the lemon and honey concentrates this afternoon, in between roasting a lamb, with rosemary, and garlic, and roast potatoes, and spinach...hmmmmm, foood...
