What's new

Like a (very ugly, middle-aged) virgin, mixed for the very first time

Speaking of Edwardian high class hookers knickers...well, no, just a quick post, decided to do a menthol/eucalyptus double hit 16mg zockets mix, initially 5% eucalyptus, 6% menthol, both Inawera, PG 60/40, so I shall have to see how that develops.

Also, thanks to Bryan123456 who mentioned a 10% virginia mix, which didn't taste very distinctive yesterday amongst all the vaours I was inhaling, etc, but was a decent days vape at work, good stuff.

Handy Hint: Hands, wash them after handling menthol-type concentrates, before you go to see a man about a dog, as whilst the only member belonging to the personal forum that is I probably smells minty fresh, it has had better moments. Weather report: There is a strong chance of frost, in my pants.

Argh, just realised the most probable reason I haven't recieved my em dilute, etc, from C9V yet, is because I put the numbers in my bloody postcode back to front, so it is probably heading to some place in Westbury-On-Trim instead of St Werburghs...I usually put my suburb in my address details too, but this one time, I didn't, what a plank! Holy shitcakes of despair.

Mixed bag of mixes in progress:

All the tobacco's have been added to flavour wise, nothing to see here, as of yet.

Toffame Apapple is currently a disaster, the sesame dominates in a subtle, cloying way, which is odd, so have dropped some more apple and caramel flavour in, 3 drops of each, and two drops of ethyl maltol (at last!), to see if that'll help, and if it doesn't, it is for the plank, aye. Lesson: Go easy on the sesame, I should've realised, sesame oil, for example, goes a long way, with a little, in cooking.

Honey & Lemon Zocket: Totally dominated by a robust honey, the eucalyptus is there as well, but no lemon comes through, have added about three drops of lemon, and two drops of bitter wizard. Lesson: Go easy on the robust honey.

Blackcurrant Zocket: Quite nice, actually, the blackcurrant was a definite, yet subtle, feature, so I added 3 drops more of it, to see if I could intensify the blackcurrant hit, without making it obnoxious. But alright as is. Stands up welll with the eucalyptus, and cleared my head passages smoothly.

Menthol & Eucalyptus Zockets: Nice, could be stronger, you want that combo to slap you up a bit, may tinker with it.

I did buy 20ml of pre-made Hengsan RY4 last week, which was a bit odd, and then I realised that it was 24mg nic, too strong for me, I am at 18mg, and am in mind to slowly decrease my dosage, so I mixed 10ml with 10%ml of my own 15% flavour RY4, and a drop of dulce de leche at 12mg strength to get an 18mg level, and same again with the other 10%, but this time added a drop of hazlenut flavour, a drop of dulce de leche, and a drop of em, and the hazlenut dominated in a nasty way at any voltage above 3.7, and even then, it was average, so I thought, sod it, and have added a three drops of banana, and a drop of chocolate to it, perhaps ruining it, but to be honest, I am not mental for RY4 as of yet, anyhow, my favourite taste of it was my own mix at 15% flavour, after a days steeping, which made it taste hubba bubba-ish. Shall play around with the whole concept more. Be careful with the Inawera hazlenut folks.

I am going to try other people's recipes for a bit now, I reckon, compare, contrast, what have you, and do some simple, single flavour mixes too.

Good read that. Don't mix myself as a rule but you have a witty individual style (if that doesn't sound patronising)and make the whole process sound interesting :)

Cheers, you patronising b*stard! Kidding, I appreciate the compliment, forgot to mention, I made up a 10% flavour of FA Cinnamon on Friday night PG 70/30, so that is another one on the go.

Okay, really bad day, but I did bung some of my blackcurrant zocket juice into a carto, took it to work, got a couple of people to try it, smokers, and they really liked it. It is probably at about 10% blackcurrant flavour, and I feel that this could still use a bit more oompf, and perhaps a little something to round it out a bit. So, I have made a new mix, 15% blackberry, sticking at 5% eucalyptus, pg60/40 mix, 16mg, and I added two drops of Inawera honey, less robust than the fa honey, and two drops of ethyl maltol. As I did, it is quite dandy as is, but I shall see how this goes. The eucalyptus works really well with a fruit to stand up to it, I'd recommend it.

After increasing the dosage of lemon in the honey and lemon mix, I have a wee tang on the inhale, it is being overwhelmed by the euc though, so maybe that needs to be upped to 15% too, if not higher, though I may try a mix instead, of a variety of citrus flavours in one, say, lemon and lime, or even lemon/lime/orange, maybe even a touch of grapefruit?

May also try a cinnamon/euc mix...

I decided that the word Zockets annoyed me, and my new blackcurrant/euc mix, I have called Blackcurrant Dottinghams, as inspired by this old ad:

Blimey, that's a blast from the past :) which lemon are you using? I've been trying to get the inawera one to taste as good as it smells but haven't managed to get it strong enough yet.

I haven't got the Inawera lemon, yet, but I used pa lemon, and contrary to what I posted last, it was pa honey, not fa, I think I may have ended up with about sixty different flavours to play with though, and in my hunt for a cheap vv, a chrome l-rider lava tube, and because of a twenty percent discount code at Liberty Flights, a vision spinner...and I'm done! Argh, as they say, argh...

I only read this thread today, I was on tappatalk so couldn't hit like and I'm not going to go back through it all now so I'm just going to hit thanks on your last post. This thread made me chuckle and was a good read.

This does not mean I am volunteering to try any of your mixes though!!!

This is where I put on my best Liam Neeson voice, phone you, and threaten to hunt you down and apply eucalyptus torture.

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end, ladalyelye ladadadalyelye, nananana....enough, had a week or two away from the old mixing, no reason, blackcurrant still worked nicely, decided Dottingham sounds even more annoying than Zockets, and tonight, I just decided to merge all my tobacco mixes together in one 30ml bottle, dropped in some more little space drops, and about, hmmm, 13 drops of em, and see if that'll do anything, I hadn't tried any, I just felt like doing it.

And so, three mixes tonight, I did, I promised a few posts back to do a load of one flavour mixes, which I will do soon, but I was having fun playing around tonight.

First mix, search this Mixology section for the thread for Bryan 1234567's recipe for clear Turkish Delight, I did an exact copy of that, except for one tweak, I cut the nic level to 18mg, and it already smells lush, as they say.

Next, I saw a recipe somewhere, which I copied, but for the life of me I can't remember where now, so I cannot credit it, so my apologies, anyway, it went like this for the flavourings: Apple 10%, Cinnamon 4%, Orange 4%, and Cloves 2%

I thought that that had an autumny/wintery appeal, but I made one addition, I added Cookie 10%

All flavours Inawera, apart from cinnamon ceylon from FA, and cookie from PA, PG 60/40, 16mg nic

Next, Zockets? Dottinghams?! Move aside, I say, aside, yes, I have extended my train of thought to its logical collision, and come up with: A Walk In The Winter Fruits Of The Forest! But withold that Noble prize from me just one moment, M'Lady Gratitude, as I share my recipe, which has so much going on, that it may turn out to be A Tumble In Tastaggedon! Too many exclamation marks, f*ck my life:

Homemade menthol 5%, inawera eucalyptus 5%, inawera Blackcurrant 5%, inawera Raspberry 5%, PA Blackberry 5%. 3 drops inawera apple, 2 drops FA lemon Sicily, 2 drops inawera orange, two drops of EM, one drop of CV9 sweetener

PG 70/30, 16mg nic, 10ml mix

I know, I know, too many flavours, but I felt like it, because I'm worth it, like I just stepped out of a salon, guilty feet have got no rhythm, though it is easy to pretend, I know you are not a fool, can you hear me Dr Wu, are you really just a shadow of the man that I once knew?

Am I allowed to abbreviate Inawera please? Jesus wept.
