Looking for iSub vortex vaping coils

The coils I bought with my Innokin Vortex tank, as well as the ones I got from
here: http://www.vapeclub.co.uk/innokin-coils/innokin-isub-tank-replacement-coils.html
... all seem to be of the vertical type (wicking material between actual coil and coil housing).

These seem impossible to rewick according to the methods described in the two vids above.

Is there any other way of rewicking these?

Or where can you buy ones with horizontal coils?

Am I missing something here?

The bit where I wrote my spent coils all seem to be vertically coiled, not horizontally (like the ones in the vids). I don't know AT ALL how to rewick these or if it's even possible

Mine are a bit like these:

...but these aren't Innokin iSubs, of course...

Don't get why you say eBay and Amazon yielded nothing, literally loads on both sites.

you want the 0.5 ohm ones that come in the brown cardboard packets (also available in 0.2 , 1.0 and 2.0 ohm as well ) if you want horizontal as opposed to vertical coils. Loads on Amazon and E.bay etc for about £6. Hope that helps and all the best.

Thanks TF!

Here's what mine look like (used), with the mesh removed (not a great photo, sorry!):

This one came from the VapeClub, in a black box. I chose the Clapton option (and it says that on both sides of the box).

And here's a schematic of roughly how they are coiled/wicked at factory. The ones (in a silver/blue box) I bought with my Innokin Vortex are like that too:

Seems to me these have the same Innokin iSub housing (with the sideports) but different coil configurations! Packaging doesn't seem to give a clue about that...

All sadly confusing and time-consuming for a noob like me...:11:

Hi, yes, well the ss, the Titanium, the Ni200 and the clapton coil are vertical coils.

THE Horizontal coils are what you need if you want ease of rewicking to save you money (which are very easy to rewick after dry burninng come in those brown boxes i mentioned )
Here's a link to them (for example purposes) so you can see what the packet looks like. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322484441929?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=511459748153&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Hope that helps and all the best.

Ok. Still have about 5 of the verticals left but will order a box of the NiCr ones, just to have a go at rewicking horizontal ones.

That was really helpful, thanks! :14:

BTW, does anyone know what "BVC" stands for?

Note: ah: Bottom Vertical Coil, apparently! http://www.vapourlites.com/aspire-general-replacement-bvc-coil-5-pack.html. So the packaging DOES tell you when it's vertical (both my boxes do)... live and learn...
