But I have a few doubts if someone could be so kind to help me in my quest:

Ok so breifly I have been vaping for about 3-4 months now, I have tryed all sorts of E liquids available to us in the UK from cheap to independant to imported USA goodness. Now I have to say I really do tend to enjoy the imported higher priced products in general, they seem to always have more "complex" flavours and generally taste amazing.

Now my question is, just how GOOD can you get a DIY juice down, I'm quite a custard fan and have seen the types of recipies people are using to try emulate a few of the favorites and they seem super straight forward, but just how good is it? Does it live up against those branded custards out there? I'm having my doubts. If someone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it!

I can't comment on the custards as I'm waiting for my custard concentrate to be delivered, but the good thing about DIY is that if there's something slightly off you can tweak it to exactly how you like it. Too sweet? Tone down the flavours. Want just a bit more nicotine? Just add a few more drops. Different PV/VG ratio? Change up the recipe.

The possibilities of when you use DIY instead of pre-mades are endless and are only limited by your imagination.

Good point there mate,

I was meant to say as well it's fairly hard to find vendors that stock / make 3mg liquids which is easily my prefered nic level. So the things you mentioned are a huge influence in my decision indeed!

Thanks!

Can you make soup better than shop bought?
Of course you can.
The more complex the flavour and the more elements the longer it will take to perfect.
The sooner you start the sooner you will get there.

The banana custard I made has been given high praise by anyone who has tasted it and some of my more "interesting" combination have also gone down a treat.

As you are doing it for yourself you will be able to tweek each flavour with each batch till it is perfect for you.

I won't sugercoat as you will make some howlers but these can be rescued with some menthol drowning (in most cases)

Anyone can do it and as said the limits are only that which you carry yourself.

The great thing about DIY is that you can try a custard, like it and think 'I wonder what this would be like with a bit of cinnamon' or butterscotch or sweetener or banana or strawberry (etc, you get the point ;) ) and you can do it, give it a whirl and hopefully find something awesome.

My advice is jump in with both feet ;)

Sod it, may give it a go!

Do you guys recomend Alchemist cupboard for my "starter kit". Have looked at a few others but TAC hold the Capella range which I have been seeing alot looking up on things. Also could anyone recomend where I can get some TPA DDL, what other things might I need trying to make a perfect custard vape?

I buy all my mixing supplies from justvape24/7 they do flavours from various suppliers.
not sure whether they do what you want but worth checking out. Vape Flavour Concentrates & Mixing Liquids | Just Vape 247

Thank you again mate this looks awesome, has the flavour concentrates I was looking at, also the sweetner I was looking for. Only problem I can see is the starter kit comes with 2x 10ml syringe, will I need any smaller for those 5ml test batches?
