I have a problem! Last night i replaced my coil on my isub G tank, popped it on my IPV D2. It now reads Low res! I dont know what that means. I changed it over to joules mode its working but on the same as it was on power mode! Can someone please help me? Been over 12 hours no vaping!

Low Res would indicate low resistance meaning the ohms on the coil are reading too low. Perhaps a faulty coil!

It is saying your coil is too low a resistance. Is it a 0.2 ohm coil by any chance? The D2 only fires down to 0.2 in wattage mode so I'm just wondering if you have a .2 coil that is actually slightly lower than that. If that is the case it should be fine to vape it in joules mode with the temp set to maximum and using joules as you would watts. If it's a 0.5 ohm coil there's some other problem.

DAMN!! i bought a whole pack from amazon yesterday! My previous coil was 0.5 but thought i'd change it up and bought 0.2, could that have anything to do it?

Thanks for that info! I normally vape on about 25-30 watts so what would be the ideal settings on joules mode?

Yep as Mr Numpty said, the d2 has a cutoff of 0.2 ohm. Stock coils do vary a little so if you had one that came in just under 0.2 the mod will throw a hissy fit and refuse to fire.

As I understand it, you treat the joules as you would watts, so 25-30 joules should give a similar vape, but adjust to suit what you experience.

Except of course, you've switched from 0.5s to 0.2s, so you may need a different wattage/joules setting to get a similar vape than you're used to using with the .5 coils. Might need higher joules, I'd just experiment a bit and see what you like.

Thanks guys! At least i know for next time to buy 0.5 rather than 0.2. I only bought them so i could test it on higher wattage as the D2 fires up to 75 watts! i guess i was wrong.

You may well find your next 0.2 coil is actually 0.2 or slightly higher which would allow you to do that.
