Hi all,

I am probably over thinking this that's why I'm struggling to agree with my own maths lol.

All the liquid I make is either at 10% or 15% flavour and 1mg nic in a 70vg 30pg mix.

I was wanting to pre mix my base in bulk. 1 liter base for 10% liquids and 1 liter base for 15% liquids.

I just can't think of the ratio needed to mix the base at, to then end up at a 70 30 mix after adding the flavour.

I though about mixing 1litter as if I was making it all in the same flavour at 10% but then don't actually put any flavour in. Then use 90ml base and add 10 flavour to mix 100ml. But im not sure if that's correct.

Also when I mix I always mix in 100ml bottles.

Help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks folks

Your bases would be mixed as normal. Mix one at 70/20 and the other at 70/15 add your nic as you normally would to the bases, as per normal calculations for the finished 1000ml. If it's PG based include it in the 20/15% PG, likewise if it's VG include it in the 70% VG. Just don't add the concentrates.
You'll end up with 900ml of the base for your 10% flavours and 850ml base for the 15% ones. The nic will be slightly over your desired strength but will be spot on when you add the flavour concentrates.
Easy to make up your 100ml bottles afterwards - 90ml base + 10ml conc., and 85ml base and 15ml conc. and you'll be at the desire nic strength too.

Assuming 72mg nic base for the 15% 700ml VG 136.1ml PG, if you want a full 1l of base it would be about 837.2ml VG 162.8ml PG and for the 10% it would be 700ml VG 186.1ml PG or the 1l base 789.6ml VG 209.9ml PG.

Or a 83.72% PG 16.28%PG for the 15% and 78.96% VG 20.99%PG for the 10%.

Reading that gave me a migraine.......

That's exactly what I thought I would be. I just din't explain it as good as you just did. Many thanks for the advice folks off to mix up some base now.

No worries mate. I think you already had it sorted in your head. As you said just started to over think it.
Do it all then time myself and end up not being able to see the wood for the trees [emoji6]
