After visiting vapefest yesterday, fancied doing something different. Done the sub ohming, not for me, did the coil building still do, bought most shiny products, got a drawer full.
Got to think, the only thing I haven't really done is make my own juice.
So can anyone who has the time point me in the right direction to get a complete kit, by that I mean all utensils, measuring apparatus, pg/vg, nicotine, flavouring etc.
Thanks in hand

try here...https://larbrook.co.uk/index.php?id_category=15&controller=category&n=79 they have a wee mixing kit for less than a fiver...you can always add other stuff
Its not easy to get everything from the one place...you may have to shop around for concentrates
also scales are a good idea, that measure 0.01g
Darkstar get good rep for nic/vg/pg and have some concentrates try code DS35TFA for 35% off TFA concentrates

I've dipped into this a few times mate time and patience is the key I'd recommend darkstar for the nic ment to be the best around and they got a 35% off concentrates too too there's a code floating about

http://www.darkstarvapour.co.uk is where I get my nicotine, PG & VG from. I use these as they're cheaper than 99% of other places, and the best quality products in the uk. Personally, I use 7.2% nicotine in a PG base as that's the strongest nic available so it lasts longer, and the reason I use PG nic is because it's easier to work with compared to VG based nic. Unless you're wanting a final mix of above 85% VG then using VG based nic isn't really worth it.
Pg and VG from darkstar as they're cheap but high quality liquids

Flavour concentrates, syringes, gloves I use http://vapable.com
The reason I use these are the cheap prices, decent quality and fantastic customer service, with next day delivery. Orders over £10 is also free first class delivery. They have the widest selection of flavour concentrates I've seen, along with some fantastic one shot concentrates. Syringes with blunt tipped dispensing needles are a must, these are also available from vapable. Gloves are also a must for a new mixer, nicotine is a poison that is absorbed through the skin and can be lethal if not washed off, so for any new mixer or someone that's clumsy (as I am) then gloves are an absolute must.

Measuring cylinders can be got from basically any shop, as long as they have ml's on the side then they'll do the job.

In regards to bottles, I personally use https://www.ibottles.co.uk
They're cheap, decent quality. But to start with on your mixing journey, just wash and recycle any old bottles you have lying around already

Thanks for that both, chopper I got a little confused with the nicotine being vg/pg based, always thought nicotine was nicotine, but your explanation of both makes me think I understand what your saying, lol.
Not so sure footed on the one shot concentrates as opposed to concentrates.
I spent well over £100 in vapefest yesterday, visited my favourite juice supplier tmax of which cost me a few pennies, bought a new tesla battery, don't any supplier make a big standard 40 watt battery anymore, most of the ones I saw yesterday had to be connected to computer.
Anyway let's have a crack at homemade juice and thanks again

I can't any more but I agree darkstar and Vapable.com are the best you can get a starter kit I got it for 30 it comes with load of 10ml bottles 200ml vg 200ml pg 1ml &10ml syringes and 4 of your choice of concentrates but highly recommended staying away from the cherry it's minging lol

Glad it cleared up any confusion. Sorry for the essay, just many people I see on POTV ask for advice when starting out DIY so thought I'd make an essay trying to explain what I get where from and why I get it so you will probably see the essay on many threads.

The one shot concentrates I'd advise starting with them until you're comfortable with DIY, then start adding flavours to the one shots to enhance to your tastes, and experimenting with different %s and how they change the final taste.

One shots are good as they're mostly shake and vapes, no steeping required although a little steep may improve them.

As suggested above, the ready built mixing kits available from vapable and other companies personally I would never buy. They end up costing about a fiver more than buying the different bits and bobs separate, and for me I prefer that fiver in my pocket than someone else's

With darkstar, delivery can be up to a week, and with vapable their deliveries to me have always been next day (I order before 6am mind) and they send emails saying that the order is dispatched. Honestly, I can't speak highly enough of vapable, I just wish they would compete with darkstars prices on nic, VG and PG.

Honestly though, I seriously wouldn't bother with VG nic unless you want above 85 VG final mix, VG can be a pain in the arse to work with. Imagine dealing with cough syrup with a syringe with a blunt tip dispensing needle.

Start with mixing by syringe till you know you want to carry on DIY, then invest in some scales that weigh to 0.01grams (the kind that drug dealers use to weigh their products) you can pick them up for under a tenner on Amazon, you'll find it's quicker and less messy than syringes.

Oh, and use this calculator/recipe site. It'll become your new best friend: http://e-liquid-recipes.com

Thanks again chopper and all others who contributed, I feel I know a lot more than I did yesterday, lol.....will maybe post my results, not aiming for the stars though.
