Gonloopy, I've been considering this and what Dr F's research might show for a while now - I fear that vanilla may be one substance and anything that has coumarins in might be another (the flavour compound, not the anti-coagulant meds of the same name). Coumarins have been used as a flavouring agent in tobacco for a long time. Many natural flavourings contain them - not limited to -aniseeds, absinthe, fennel, coriander and cassia, and for green herbs, fennel and dill to mention a few.
I shall be very careful with testing these and as you have said, so should anyone else trying it - I'm used to having to carefully self-monitor and observe side effects of any and all meds I take at all times as a couple especially can suddenly and with little warning develop unpleasant side effects, so I shall initially treat these in the same way
I'm not intending to make these infusions available to others for this reason and I'm aiming to make them for use as additives to mixes rather than to be used as a sole flavouring.
