@Jimmydids and myself went to the pub yesterday to finalize a few things and got a verbal assurance again of Tom the manager with regard to vaping in the pub. He confirmed its no problem as half the staff vape and the guvnor vapes.. In his words " Till the Govt stop vaping in pubs , this is a vaping pub." Good to hear in this day and age, it even brought a grunt of approval from @3dj

We have a dedicated room inside but there are tables outside as well should the weather be kind enough.

There are regular Bus services to Piccadilly station and the tram stop is only 100 mtrs away.
Those coming by car there is parking in the streets behind the pub.
I think some are looking at a joint venture taxi from Piccadilly station which is a sensible idea. Contact @daz_app and @JustDave if you would like the meting time at the station.

There is an excellent restaurant directly opposite which I can get discount in and can book a table should there be interest, let me or Jimmy know your feelings on this and we can sort it out...

There is also a Fastech style Chinese restaurant nearby which is pretty cheap but the service is shite...

We will be holding the usual raffle again so bring along anything you wish to donate. Last time it was for Alderhey Children s Hospital. If there is a particular charity you feel would benefit please nominate it on the day..

Another idea was to start a bit earlier than we normally do say 3.30pm. It will help the people travelling a longer distance to set off home at a more convenient time.. and not risk missing last trains..

Ok chaps and chapesses, it's a week away so we need to get an idea of numbers, these things don't organise themselves and even though @city461 is now host I feel some responsibility to assist.

Please confirm attendance and if you feel a few buffet butties would be sufficient or we should go for a meal, personally, with people travelling from far and wide I think a buffet would be good to soak up the beer for those who live localish and fill the tums of those who have to travel home. @city461 do we have a rough price per head?

Depends on numbers really, the more there are the cheaper, but a cheese and pate ploughmans wont be more than a fiver.. Alternatively there is a Greggs 2 doors away..
