Mass flavour concentrate sample passaround

If I were to setup a box of 110/120 5ml flavour concentrate samples (Capella, TFA, FW, FA, Etc) for a community passaround I think it could be the start of something special.. When each person receives the parcel and is finished sampling them they could maybe top some of the concentrates up and add some small samples to the bulk and send it to the next person..

We could end up with an almighty collection between us..

Or it could dry up and die within five to ten people..

Thoughts?

its a very good idea in theory. but as we all know it would be like the pif thread and would die a death very quickly. or as soon as the concentrate you first supplied had gone.

I was thinking if we cherry picked at least the first batch of people.. It'd be a good chance for people to play about with a lot different flavours without having to shell out hundreds of quid..

And we could maybe add PlumeBlu to the list without asking.. I've seen the bags full of bags of flavour concentrate samples he receives

I came up with the idea from another forum I use.. A shaving one.. They passaround expensive razors for people to sample.

I think if we have an approved (somehow) list of members which would agree to only have a taster of the concentrates and to add something if possible it could work.

To be fair, I pay for the flavour samples to be used for creation or research of flavours. I do tend to use up all the samples pretty quickly and sometimes need seconds myself.

I'll be widening my flavour manufacturer hunt soon.. I may message you to try squeeze some suggestions from you. I won't take it to heart if you tell me to fuck off and find my own sources though haha

For flavour manufacturers, you won't get much further than:

Capella, tpa, inawera, molinberry , mom and pops, lorann, flavorwest, cupcake world.

The others I use won't deal with the public, most of them won't deal with ecig companies but I was persistent

Ahh ok so the elusive hunt doesn't need to begin then. It is a massive selection we have access to though..

Thanks for that.. I'll message you once I've set the first box up and arranged a list of some sort.. I'll get my thinking cap on..

I don't want to do a random list for the first batch.. I like the idea of it going around our mixologists that are actively mixing and experimenting.. It'll help them massively..

The sample pack will have quite a lot of the same flavours by different manufacturers.. Eg: About 6 different Strawberries, out 6 different apples, about the same oranges, a few limes, a few vanilla, loads of creams.. Etc it'll help them find what each will bring to a mix.

Plus these people are likely to be able to top some of the concentrates back up

Have now reached 100 flavours in my collection and think this would be an excellent way to sample a load more.

Need to sort out the committed mixologists from freeloaders though. Not being elitist in any way, just avoiding the very obvious pitfall.
What about each member makes a contribution to the site for the privilege and shares on google.docs the concentrates already owned and tested?
That would produce a tremendous POTV resource, a little payback for the knowledge we all picked up from each other.

I don't think anyone should have to pay for the privilege but we do need to be a little strict with the list, maybe restrict it to our known mixologists, at least on the first test run anyway.

If people are fair with it and help replenish and stock it up a little I see no reason why it couldn't end up being full of every flavour there is readily available.
