Mech mods battery life

Hi guys

So finally got my rsst working a treat but now my hammer mod in 18350 mode dies within 5 mins at 0.7ohms

Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong?

That sounds a bit quick for your battery to drain imo. I do find that the battery life depends on your set up. I set up a micro coil on mine the other day which is 0.9 ohms and an 18650 battery has lasted me just short of 2 days. I'm now using an 18350 battery on the same setup which I put in a couple of hours ago.

Its literally 5 mins. Would shorting cause this. I have no idea just seems a little insane.

Im using .9 kanthal ribbon at 4 wraps

Does ribbon drain quicker?

I was getting nearly two days out of my 18500 1600mah batts using a clearo. Now i'm on a dripper at 1.2ohm twin coil the same batteries are lasting a day or less.

Have you got something else you can try a fully charged battery in ? That 5 minute thing, something wrong. Try it in something else as a process of elimination.

5 amps plus is a lot for a 18350 battery. Check the discharge time on the following review.

A short would definitely cause your battery to drain faster. The coil I have set up at the moment is using .3 kanthal. Normally speaking I'd do 3 wraps of .2 kanthal round a doubled piece of 2.5mm silica which would give me a reading of about 1.1 - 1.2 ohms and an 18650 would last just over a day.

I think your resistance might be slightly low for an 18350 too.
