Hey all you fine people! I have perhaps a basic enough question that probably has been covered before but I like tailored advice.

I have ordered two mech mods - nemesis brass and sentinal m16 with scar rba. I have done some research and it its advisable not to use unprotected 18650 batteries.... without a fuse or kick. My question is, would a protected battery be as safe as using an unprotected with a fuse/kick?

What are our experiences/opinions? Plus I am using unprotected panasonic ones at the moment for my vamo in conjunction with a trustfire 001 charger.

Your replies are greatly appreciated.

With the vamo you have built in protection, so youre good that way

Definitely use protected batteries in a mech or a fuse with unprotected :)

I keep seeing this over and over in a mechanical use IMR there not protected but are safer chemistry in my opinion they are still safer then so called protected batteries.

By using protected batteries in a mechanical you are essentially lowering one of the mechs biggest feature AMP limit.

Most people get muddled up about what batteries to use in what devices as far as I am concerned IMR are better for all mods mechanical or vv/vw.

Most commonly used IMR AW,efest,torchy.

What are your Panasonic's?

I've only ever heard good things about Efest IMR'S,
I've started using those.myself, and wouldn't use anything else at the moment.
