probably a silly question but i was wondering are the mech squok vape the same? i never tried one but i'm curious, i'm thinking a regulated mod there is the chip that can change the feeling of the vape but for mech there is not such think. I'm talking only about the vape feeling not the ergonomic.

It’s personal preference really. Some prefer to make vaping easy & safe and use regulated mods. It means you can really just build about right and alter the voltage to suit. Obviously you also get safety features to prevent accidents.

On the other hand some just prefer the simplicity of a mech. The build needs to be more precise to account for no regulation, voltage drop and also the safety of your cells. In terms of a difference in vape that’s down to your build really and keeping your mech in good working order.

yes i understand that, so any type of mech will vape the same if i use the same battery and same rda, so is only matter of look of the mod?

Regulated power will deliver pretty much the same vape most of the time. A mech will not - and because of this you may get a more rounded flavour depending on your liquid. Talking around this the other day we were comparing a drawing made from a photo to one made from life - one lacks space, air, presence, seems flat - the other does not. Just thoughts though, just idle thoughts ;)

Technically all mechanical mods should feel exactly the same in relation to vape quality... however depending on the quality and materials used better mechs will give less voltage drop and therefore a more powerful cleaner output. This is why certain mechs are said to be 'hard hitting'

As for the vape quality/taste I would say that a mechanical mod gives a smoother vape than regulated and as discussed above variations in power output can mean that you get a more rounded taste experience with the ebb and flow of the battery cycle as oppose to a more consistant vape on a regulated mod.

Either way its not a massive difference certainly not enough of a reason to choose a mech exclusively for.

No, not really. If you ask a regulated mod to output the wattage or voltage you want it will, every time until the battery is not powerful enough to support it. Most have boost that allows you to output more voltage than the capacity of the cell.

A mech on the other will output 4.2v on a full charge minus voltage drop and then deplete getting weaker with use. Basically, with a mech it’s advisable to build a bit lower than you require...that way it’s a bit rowdy at first but you’ll get the most out of the cell. If you build for 4.2v you won’t have that for long at all, if at all when taking into account voltage drop under load.

Maybe start with something you like that needs about 3.2 volts - because when I take an rda off a mech and stick it on a variable voltage mod then 3.2/3.3 volts is where it feels about the same as the average vape on a mech - not the same as a fresh cell because that fresh cell vape doesn't last very long. This makes me think that on average I'm getting 3.2 volts across the coils in a mech for the build I prefer. Just my impression though.

So what I'm saying, I think ;) is - if you run that 0.4 coil at around 25-26 watts then that's what it will feel like on a mech when the cell is mid-vapable-life. Probably.

Thank you for info, so how much less you should consider let's say I required o.40 ?

That depends on what wattage you set your regulated mod to really. I always build to get my desired vape around 3.7-3.8 volts. It really is trial and error and finding what works for you. I was lucky enough to have a few local apes who really helped me in trying setups and finding what worked for me to make my journey a little quicker.

You also have to take into account the airflow of the rda when you are trying to get your prefect Vape from a mech, although you can't adjust your wattage you can still fine tune your Vape with airflow...
If you have a good build and a fresh cell but the airflow ain't set up right then you still won't get the Vape you are looking for...
