Maybe try a VV device, the chips in them aren't concerned about the coil resistance, they just deliver (battery condition dependent) the selected voltage, regardless.

Yeah i thought about trying a VV device just not many to choose from.
This morning i tried a 2.5mm 22/23g N80 build with 7 wraps (0.17ohms) and ran it in bypass mode. Vapes great, nice and smooth like my mechs, getting around 3.4v and 70w on a fresh battery. If i want to run an extra wrap i could try a Samsung 20S battery, might get an extra 0.05V.
So im happy with it now, ive got a mech like vape with the conveniance of being able to charge my battery in the mod during the day and some short circuit protection. All's good!
