Mechs and RDAs

Just stick to the basic principles, autofire is always preferred to a hardshort and fixed, protruding 510 pins on hybrids. Any doubts, ask first. All these are hybrids, you'd possibly be better with something with a 510 topper to be safe. If you'd prefer I could dig something out more suited to a beginner like the NATO. A more safe hybrid would be the heavy hitter as it at least has quick release and a liner in it.

1. Philbox (black dreamer, any RDA
2. RAPTOREX. Black Dreamer

1. Crispycritters (SS DREAMER no RDA)

1. John R (silver roundhouse Asgard)

1. Jee (the 3 RDAs)
2. RAPTOREX. LP Goon. ( the short gold one)

1. hack400 (any mech)

I've been using the Dovpo Pump Squonker for a few months now. Yes, there's lots of protection on that. I feel like progressing to a full mech. I have loads of RDA's that all have protruding 510's. I know how to find the amp draw of a build, and only use the best batteries.

You've prodded me with the hybrid thing, it is a concern, but hopefully surmountable. I need to make sure that the 510 makes contact with the battery.

Thanks for the offer, appreciated. I had been looking at something like the 11:11 Reborn, and thought Lisa's offer would give me something (if I am lucky enough to win) that would let me know if a mech was for me. I have enjoyed the semi-mech experience, so wanted to try the next step :)

If you think the best step would be the 510 topper route, before a hybrid, then perhaps we should discuss.

Not wanting to put you off but you are the safety with these things, a few of the old guard helped me years ago when I first started with these things, best thing they ever introduced me to was 24awg brochrome for mechs.

I feel I'm in the same boat as you @hack400, I understand all the principals of mechs but still have a bit of fear of them from the scare stories.

This is something I'd love to go in for but I'm going to have to give it a bit more thought first. That SS Dreamer and Asgard ain't half pulling me though.

How different is the vape experience with a mech @John R? Is it really that different? I don't want to risk curiosity to killing the cat if it isn't worth it.

I don't think its all that different, it's just the feel of it in the hand and the simplicity of a good rip on a simple build. I kinda moved off onto TC stuff so I don't really use them that much now. More of a summer clouds thing than filling a room with vapour in the winter and having to clean yer feckin windows all the time.

I forgot to mention the VGOD comes with a groovy travel case everything else is as is. I also don't know how to get into the RDAs to take out old coils and clean them. Why are these things so complicated? Lol

When mounted on mod, pull the top off.
