Mixes you found good to go off the bat

Sounds good DakotaMai. Might be worth getting some EM or sweetener to add to mixes. From what I understand you only need a drop or two (per 10mls) but seems to be in a lot of recipes. I'm not talking from personal experience, but have stuck a bit in my vast collection of 2 mixes! Haha. How long will you leave them before trying?

I did but some EM with my kit but they forgot to send it!! I've emailed them so hopefully they will send it on soon. I figured I could add a couple of drops when it arrives.

Because they are custard and toffee bases flavours I was going to try and leave them for a week before trying them.

I've just been looking at pre-mixed concentrates and the prices aren't bad so I may try a couple of them out too.

How thick and gloopy is the vg though? Eeewwwww! I'm thinking I may mix a 70vg/30pg base in a 100nl bottle to make it easier to use.

I've just mixed my first 3 10ml juices!!

I had 3x concentrates with my kit, banana, toffee and custard, chosen for me by my boys. So we made 10ml custard, 10ml toffee custard and 10ml banoffee

I bought some fruit liquids and some menthol today too. I want to start quite simple and see how that goes. I'm happy to spend money on the odd treat juice and see how my DIY mixing goes before trying to get too complex.

I started out with 10% nic, 15% flavour mix, 25% pg and 50% vg for a 50/50 mix with 7.2mg nic

Nice one your custard ones leave them for a few weeks "I know the pain"... banoffee not sure on steep times be rude not to have a tiny bit see how it is you cant have a day one mixing day without at least having a little go or if can you have allot more patience than me. Allot of juice vendors knockout 50/50 so easy to home in on that I did but bumping a little more VG in there is working for me PG irritates me a little and allot if over 50 all trial and error.

I've had a few problems with a wheezy chest over the last few weeks but haven't been able to pin down what is bothering me. I finally took a puff on my inhaler last night and all symptoms have vanished!! Very strange!

I just hope that the mixes I make are at least vapable!!

Looking forward to getting more involved here. The support is fab!

vapeable is a very subjective term....
for custard if you want something resembling digby's/grants your looking at 21days minimum.....pretty sure toffee will be up there as well.
Banana on its own may be quicker.(although perversly it seems it's one of the longer steeping fruits)

You might find
Large flavour %'s ,sharp flavour's or possibly higher pg juices set your chest off.
In my case a purple inhaler helps but i still have to stay away from the above combinations.
Menthol or ice of any description still sets me off.

I guess vapable for me just means nice enough that I don't end up chucking them down the sink!

I have bought some fruit concentrates too so they should be ready a bit quicker. I don't really mind waiting for the custards to be ready but figured a little try to assess the kind of flavour would give me an indication so I know whether to make more the same. I have plenty of juice to keep me going in the mean time.

As for the wheeze, I haven't been able to put my finger on the cause yet, so sticking to using my inhaler if I need to...hopefully with time I can understand the causes and avoid any issues.

I just made up 100ml of nic, pg and vg base, in the right mix to create approx 60vg/40pg with 8mg nic, once flavouring has been added. I can use this mix to create various 10ml bottles without having to measure each base ingredient every time.

As long as I mix this base up well, am I safe to assume that the nic will be safely dispersed through out the base, and won't separate out? I have seen it for sale ready mixed so assumed it would be ok to do this.

The main reason for this is that my 10yr old enjoys helping me DIY but I want to keep the undiluted nicotine away from him. I figured if I premixed 100ml bottles then we can use the premix base when mixing flavours.

this fills me with horror...last thing we (or you obviously)need is somebodies child splashed over the media with serious eye injuries from mixing stuff.

The concentrates are just that...concentrates
They also have a habit of somehow getting everywhere and i hate to think of the outcome if you child gets them in his eye or even rubs his/her eyes with nic/concentrate on them.
I'm extremely careful when mixing and even then the stuff seems to escape....wouldnt let my children anywhere near the stuff
