Hi, I'm kinda new to mixing, had a few disasters but enjoying learning, I know theres no set % for flavourings but I do like a strong taste, should I mix at 30 then go higher if I think it needs more, Do you think 30% would be too much? any opinions appreciated :D

i would start at 10% as some flavours can be strong and then play about with it maybe mix up some 10ml tester bottles with 0% nic so if you dont like the taste you are not wasting your nic

hi Rob, I've mixed various bottles at 20% and can't taste them at all, I can taste shop bought so its obviously something i'm doing lol

i am quite new to mixing myself been doing it for a few months now i know southcoast vaper will prob be able to give you more advice

Who is the manufacturer of the flavours? It sounds like a cheap make if you getting no flavour at 20%
Also what type of recipes are you doing?

For example Capella & Perfumers Apprentice are usually good at 20% or there abouts.

I had some CCW flavours before and even at 30% they were very weak so i just binned them, its a false economy buying cheaper flavours imo, as if you need to use more, then the cost saving is negligible and tbh i would be uncomfortable using more than 30% flavour.

Fruit flavours require little steeping, 24hrs is ok where as dessert flavours eg. custards take at least 4 weeks imo.

Have to agree i wouldnt advize 30% concentrate 1 bit too high, if you need that much the concentrate isnt very good. Also too much concentrate can ruin a juice just like too little can.

Ok this may sound a little strange but take one of your 20% flavour mixes and add a couple of drops of vodka (or distilled water) No more than 1%

I have no idea why this works but sometimes a mix just does not come together and a few drops of vodka acts as a solvent and allows the flavours to combine.

What flavours are they? Who are they made by? I'm guessing you've over flavoured. Some flavours mute once you add too much

Sorry I been on the phone all night lol, I have a variety of flavours most with just a little to taste so I just add a little of this and a little of that lol the amount of flavours in there its a wonder they don't combust :D still I taste very little of them after steeping for nearly a month, I can taste shop bought so its not vapers tongue, right now i'm vaping monkey farts, I mixed at 25% then after a month added another 5% and I only taste banana slightly lol
