can any one tell me are the flavors you can buy from the cake shop ok to mix for vapping ( new user) thanks woody

I would think that anything with alcohol or water as an ingredient is ok, those with oil in the ingredients won't be.

they may also react with polycarbonate tanks to some degree. Flavour art is a cake flavouring supplier but sell the ones that are good for vaping to vendors. That is my understanding anyway. Most flavours you buy for ecigs are actually baking supplies

Most of the big flavour houses sell stuff for food, alcohol and vaping.

the stuff for vaping is different to that for ingestion.

Some stuff that is safe in food and alcohol or other beverages is unsafe to vape.

Anything with any sort of oil in it should be avoided. PG, alcohol and water are safe carriers.

You can find some food flavours that can be used in vaping, but the safe ones are few and far between. More to the point most of the food flavours are so dilute they are like gnats pee. So a 90p bottle of e.g. Almond food flavour from ASDA won't be the bargain it first appears.

Anything with E numbers or additives will need to be investigated and those numbers cross-referred to things like Clear Stream.

I wouldn't risk it. And I wouldn't waste my money. You can get 5mls of proper flavour from 89p and it will go a lot further than the 50ml ASDA bottle.

ok thanks i looked at some of the small bottles but dont say if there's water or oil in ..have the to ask the shop owner if he knows thanks woody

I will back up what Bryan said about gnats pee, they really are weak. Tried a dr oetker vanilla and even at 40% flavour it still wasn't as good as a proper vaping vanilla flavour at 5%

^^^^ agree...

let the suppliers worry about it ;)

(although it is very intriguing to know what`s what)

I would be concerned about things like diacetyl and other nasties too. To be honest, you might find something that is safe, but flavour-wise most are very disappointing. Griz has a recipe using ASDA Rum flavour - I tried it and it wasn't one of his best flavour mixes I tried.

The only non vape specific flavours I use are Nielsen Massey coffee and vanilla extracts which give detail on what's included and the percentages. And I use these with non aqueous VG. I also steep tobacco leaf, vanilla pods and coffee, but that's a whole different thing.

One might ask whether flavours for e-cigs & fluids are also used in any other sectors ...as they are, or with subtle additive changes.
