You can’t mix by percentage of weight. Precisely because the different liquids have different mass/volume like you say. Mixing with scales is still mixing by percentage of volume. You just convert volume to weight before you weigh it.

Maybe I over complicated my answer.
My point was that all methods of mixing are different, all have their pro's & con's, different afficianado's, and that if you have been mixing a liquid consistently for say, a year, and you move to a different mixing method, you may have to alter your mix percentages slightly to obtain the same result
