Hello POTV folks!
It's been a loooooong time since I have posted here, and not much has changed in my vaping.
I'm still using my trusty Modfather 30mm RTAs with the tall glass conversion....I like BIG tanks!
Had an issue recently though....one of my glass tubes cracked....not sure how it happened, I picked it up one day and noticed this....
It could possibly have happened due to being a little too 'compressed'(overtightened?)....not really sure as I haven't been flinging it around.
It still holds juice miraculously but I only have one glass left now and have searched the internet high and low for replacements, but to no avail!
I've even considered sourcing custom borosilicate glass tubes cut to length, but the Modfather tube is actually 29mm OD with a wall thickness of ~1.5mm and this size of tube isn't available anywhere.
30mm OD is available, but this doesn't fit (I've tried!)
Does anyone here know of a place that still stocks/sells genuine replacements for these?
I'm aware of a seller in the US that has listings for them, but they seem to be continually out of stock, and shipping from the States will probably be prohibitively expensive.
I don't want to 'retire' my Modfathers (I have three) as they are my 'go-to' tanks for travel - they are relatively compact compared to my daily vape....the Steam Crave Titan V2 (naturally sporting the extended glass too)!
Hope someone out there has any information about where to source these, if not, then I suppose I will have to accept the inevitable and retire them.
