This is the first time I've ever mixed my own juice, so go easy. :-)

I've looked at past threads, but am looking for up to date advice, seeing as folk will have been using them for a while now.
M&P recommend 20%, but that seems high. I've read of others using 10%.
Anybody want to give their advice

I use 20% on them and they are just perfect there. I love m&p. Many concentrates, especially from vape specific makers are good around 15-20% so this isn't unusual.

Cheers mate.
I'm not a fan of really strong flavours, so i'm worried I might find 20% too overpowering.
I suppose i'll just have to find out for myself.
How long do you let M&P steep for?

Depends on what it is....2 weeks is usually sufficient, but with, for example, Calipitter Chow, I'll leave that til it's a really rich Amber, up to a month

I've got Butterfly Bait, French Vanilla. P-Nut Better Cup, D-Lish and Tobacco Haze.
Would they need different steeping times?
Is there a general rule for steeping different flavours?

Sorry to be vague, but the general rule for steeping is: Til it tastes nice. I mix a variant of Purplefowler's Pink Lemonade which is delicious as soon as it's mixed. But then I also do a really dark, intense tobacco, and a spumante and strawberry that need as long as you can give them.

The longer you can leave them all, the better. Personally I will mix up all the concentrate to make 50ml of juice, give it a bloody good shake, let it sit in hot water (until cold), then I'll leave uncapped in a dark place, giving them a good shake every couple/few days for the first week or two. Then I'll put the out of the way and forget for another couple of weeks.
But anything over two weeks is recommended.

I love Butterfly Bait.

Cheers guys.
I think you are all saying it is down to personal taste.
I think I've been lucky with the ejuices I've used up to now. They have all been pretty decent, apart from the horrible, chemically Totally Wcked Red Label stuff I bought. I don't want to endup making shite like that!

Some concentrates need around 20%, others only 5-10%. Depends on manufacturer and flavour (eg Fantasy Fudge are mostly good at 10%, but some only need about 3 drops in a blend to balance right, some need to go up to 15%)
You can always mix a 10% initially and add some more if needed. It will raise the pg and lower the nic levels a bit, but shouldn't make too much of a difference.
Many people find fruit flavours tend to need less steeping than the custard type blends. The one I notice the biggest improvement on after a couple of weeks is my coffee, vanilla, toffee, cream & cinnamon - the throat hit smoothes, cinnamon softens and cream mutes to a better level (can be a bit sickly and strong when fresh)

Cheers folks, 10% it is. I'll add more later if needed.

Gone mixing. :-)
