My name is Dave, just in case you couldn't figure it out.
Been vaping for about a year on and off. Had stopped smoking for almost 4 years, but fell off the wagon in a moment of weakness and then had all the cravings so decided to try the e-cig/vape route rather than shelling out £8-10 a day on tailor mades.
Started as most do with an ego set up, which I still use on occasion, mainly when out and about, due to the pocket sized form factor. Bought myself a VV which I liked, but wasn't happy with battery life as it ran on 14500 batterys which seemed to drain incredibly quickly.
A good friend sent me a Lavatube (knockoff perhaps?) that he no longer used and that is much more to my taste. My current main set up is this with a protank, which suits me for the moment.
Lucky man that I am he is now sending me a Siegel mod that is surplus to his requirements, so I am now looking into Genesis style atomisers and wick and coil making, but it is all a bit daunting, so plenty more reading to do.
I tend to favour the fruit flavoured liquids as a general rule, Flavourz Green Apple and Mad Murdock Agent Orange are two firm favourites. Also really enjoyed the legendary GVC and my current vape is Mrs Lords Seville Marmalade. Always looking for suggestions of good liquid. I would particularly like to find a good cherry menthol, as I haven't found anything worth vaping yet.
Decided that it was finally time to sign up after months of lurking and finding plenty of good advice.
Get ready for plenty of daft questions as I develop my set up.

and welcome to the planet! you are off to a great start! Coil making isnt too hard, but faffy, but easy enough. I started off with one of the hardest to coil genny tanks out there and Im still at it
