I was distinctly un-impressed with the genuine article having paid £9.50 for 15ml. So thought i'd see how easy it is to knock up something similar, might save the rest of you a few quid
Now, we know it's a strawberry custard, but i'm sure i can taste Cinnamon in there also.
My thoughts are: Capella Vanilla Custard, Capella Sweet Strawberry, and some kind of Cinnamon.
Of the above, all i have is some kind of Cinnamon
I threw together a quick mix last night with some ingredients i had and threw it in the sonic cleaner for an hour for steeping, tastes somewhat nice for a first attempt.
TFA Vanilla Custard 10%
KH Creamy Milk 5%
FalvourArt Cinnamon Ceylon 1%
Inawera Strawberry 1%
So that's where i'm at right now, can taste the creamy custard and the strawberry, but not getting much Cinnamon, so will need to raise that to maybe 2-3%. Strawberry could be raised to maybe 1.5-2%.
But there ya go, the start of a halfway decent clone, fi you like mothers milk and you're into your mixing it doesn't seem that hard to make something similar at far less than the exhorbitant price of £9.50 for 15ml
*EDIT* My brother thinks it tastes like a liquid called "Strawberry Fields" so if you've tried that, this is what this DIY mix tastes of aparrently
