What's new

My first box build

Just need to knock up a couple decent fused claptons like yours and we'll be sorted. Got regular claptons on the fishbone rda and it's pretty good I got to say
Just murmur my name 3 times as you spin the coil and they'll turn out sweet - or I'll appear in your front room like candyman/beetlejuice.

If you could PM me some specs, that would be amazing... I'm looking at this chip and also the raptor. I wanted a parallel for longevity, but I may save that for another build.

I know this box is crazy tight and will probably go through my window, but I want something I can use comfortably and I'm up for the challenge.

What kind of build do you run on it? I'm worried I'll end up with too much power (if there is such a thing!?)

I will email you some specs of my ipad tomorrow.

longer life is typically gained by wiring batteries in parallel as opposed to series, several people make the assumption that the battery life isn't very good on these types of mod. Obviously, the battery life will depend the job you give it to do. The rules of wiring batteries in series do not necessarily apply here. While the potential output is indeed doubled by wiring in series, the output is also regulated by the chip. Therefore, unlike a mechanical mod these batteries are not discharging at full throttle every time you fire it. While the current required to satisfy your build and settings will impact the life of the battery you will still get a longer life over a typical series wired mod.

As for builds i tend to build around the .5 range I have not experimented as yet. The spec for the chip states is good for 20amp 100 watts and output is 3.5-5.5v. So a 0.3ohm build at 5.5v will give you 100 watts with a current draw of 18amps and that would be the safest/lowest I would go to save pushing the chip

I float around .5 builds too, so it should work out. The battery life makes a bit more sense to me now.

Thanks for the info, I need all the help I can get :)

Good man. Looks tidy

Didn't know you were owner of mod maker. Thanks for wiring diagrams magnets ,510 , switches, stickers etc

Fantastic service tight ship your ruining there lol :-)
