My first go at proper mixing

I bought some mixing supplies a couple of weeks ago and have been happily mixing pre-mixed flavours (Red Astaire, Heisenberg and Vamp Vape) and it worked really well so I though I'd have a bash at creating my own flavour.

Rather than going mad and buying loads of flavours I thought I'd try to recreate a flavour and just stick to that for the time being, so I picked Lockets throat lozenges as I enjoy a bit of menthol in my vape.

I ordered 3 concentrates from JustVape24/7:

Double Lemon (Kandi Hed)
Honey (One-on-one)
Eucalyptus (Kandi Hed)

I've mixed up 5ml of juice at 15% flavour with equal parts lemon, honey and eucalyptus and I'm going to let it steep for a few days and see what I get. I don't know if I'll need any sweetener (I'm thinking the honey might suffice) and I might also need to add some menthol (hopefully I can get some menthol crystals from Boots).

I know I'm probably have to do a lot of tweaking (the mix smells primarily of honey so far) so I'll post on here how I get on.


I also ordered some stand alone concentrates:

Mom & Pops RY4 (always wanted to try an RY4)
Kandi Hed Pear Drops
Kandi Hed Sweet + Sour Candy
Kandi Hed Murray Mints (Smells of Murray Mints mixed with Panini stickers!!!)

I've mixed up 10ml of each and am letting them steep for a while, I'll let you know what I think when I've tried them.

I ordered from JustVape 24/7 on Wednesday afternoon and they arrived this morning (Friday) along with a free bag of sweets! So top marks to the vendor for customer service.

Sounds like you are enjoying it so far. Got to say nothing quite as satisfying as creating your very own blend which works. Sure it might take a few batches but it's well worth the effort. I'm really pleased with four that I have been working on. Like you I have also got a few ready concentrates that I like to use. Have a look at the Pink Spot concentrates had a few really good ones and currently vaping Retro Punch... Very moreish. Good luck with your mixes mate they can only get better as you gain more experience.

It's a great hobby, John, and I really want to try your Heisenberg before dipping into 30mls of the stuff.

I started off just DIY mixing single fruit juices, then started watching/reading review after review of some of the premium juices, and noting down what the reviewer said they could taste. Then once I'd bought the ingredients (concentrates) I'd add a few drops of this n that to a 1ml of pg+vg before trying it as a vape in my dripper.

Another route is to look up recipes of drinks, and again add a few drops of these ingredients to a couple ml mix of pg/VG and vape it.

The 3rd route is Google for clone eliquid recipes, as there are thousands out there that produce juices named "Freds diabolical toilet water " that is actually a clone of "sex on a beach" type ejuice (not found any Freds toilet water mind you, that was just an example of how its impossible to search for sex on a beach without ending up on a porn site so the cloner has used a few random words to name their version, I have a juice that is supposed to be a clone snake oil, named KK and that's where I discovered that UK has a version and USA has another )
