When I started vaping (with my trusty ego kit) I did a lot of online research and kept coming across the word "mod" in regards to e cigs.
Wondering what it meant I googled "e cig mods" and was about to have my life changed forever, and in a round about way, it was that search query that led me here.
First I met todd who was reviewing the "copper hex ecig mod" and was selling it for £3! He said that you could buy them from liberty flights so I googled them only to find that they weren't that far from me although they didn't sell the copper hex so I thought I'd make my own.
Realising that liberty flights had an online community, I found ECF and here (tho I'v only ever posted here).
So because I was so amazed at all the stuff that was available, building my own mod went to the back burner and I bought lots of nice looking shiny things, which at first I thought looked a bit ridiculous but I let myself get sacked in! I used to think that people looked as if they were vaping on clarinets and recorders lol but now I look just as daft with my big vamo with an aga t2 on top.
Anyway, getting back to the subject, I thought I'd make that mod today and I must say that I've impressed myself. I think it's better than the original. There's no wires and no solder and the caps can be screwed down properly. It runs on a 14650 battery.
Materials used:
15mm pipe coupler
spring (from a hand wash bottle)
spring (from an old torch)
Rubber tap washer
Screw (from a plug socket or light switch)
ego battery connector
V2 510 Shorty Extension
14650 battery
And I painted mine.
