my first mix

well i had to try my own at some point so this is my first attempt
caramel banana pudding

8% tpa original caramel
10% tpa Bavarian cream
2% tpa ripe banana
2% sucalose

never mixed before, what do you think ?
any pointers
how long to steep

There's a lot of received wisdom about steeping floating around. Creams and custards are said to take about 3 weeks. I say test it yourself after 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks and 3 weeks and see what you think. I've tasted juices after about 20 minutes, admittedly fruits, and steeping for another week or so may add a bit of depth and smoothness, but they're still perfectly vapeable fresh out of the syringe

I can never resist the temptation of a couple of drops in the dripper as soon as it's mixed. As Jen said, with simple fruit mixes the results are often okay straight away.

well i just dripped on a trident v2 at 0.9 ohms
very subtle flavour
banana up front, could not pick out caramel/bavarian cream
i like my flavours heavy and sticky if that makes sense
do you potv's think this will improve/get stronger with age
or should i start adding to it

It will after a couple of weeks. I find caramel to be quite strong straight off the bat so you may need a bit more of that. The BC doesn't really taste of much but it gives juice a fuller thicker sort of flavour. A few weeks and it should shine.

I wouldn't add anything to it before at least 2 weeks' time. Things do develop, but I think it's especially important for beginners to get a decent idea of what steeping actually does to some concentrates.

My top tip - whizz it up with a milk frother if you have one. Sounds daft, but it gets things started nicely

Only thing i would suggest is lowering the bavarian cream as I never go over 6% with this one. Give it a few weeks like suggested and try it again.
