Hay there,

Just bought myself my first RDA and thought I'd share it with you. Micro-D from cloud 9. Couple of little issues with it not making contact with centre pin on one of my eGo's but got that sorted, customer service at cloud 9 second to none, there really helpful.

Got it going with standard wick and coil, vaped okay. So I thought I'll apply some of my recently acquired coil building skills from messing with my evod's.

32AWG 10 rap microcoil 1.5 diameter 2mm silica coming in at 1.9ish ohm.

Wow blown away, for such a little device it blows some clouds set up like this, and this was my first go, great flavour too.

Now the fun begins, going to try different combinations of wick and wire hopefully there's more to go with it.

The device is easy to set up and use, I would recommend it to anyone who is relatively new to vaping like I am, and all running off standard eGo too. Happy days.

Bet that little attie bought a great big smile to your face! Great value and great to use. I find mine very versatile as regards to coil/wick setups, and my favourite changes like the wind! At the moment, i'm enjoying my 'extra cotton' setup curling the extra length onto/into/around, the drip well, just to get the little blighter to hold a few more drops before the need to top up.

Good choice mate. Get to know it & find what works best for you. Some of those simple little drippers can deliver a very nice vape with the right build. Best of luck with it & i hope you discover a further understanding of dripping.

Thanks, I'm made up with it.

Just a quick question to the micro-d users.

I've done a bit of investigating today with different coils etc. I'm finding that:-

9 raps 30AWG 1.5mm diameter microcoil.

Gives me a nice vape.problem is this only allows for single piece of 2mm silica, I double the end under the coil and back around the posts. I've tried doubling up but 2mm diameter rap is a bit tight on the silica and 2.5mm only gives me to few raps. I know I could go maybe 29/28 AWG but only using the eGo I can't up volts. Haven't tried cotton yet but don't really get on with it in my evod's.

What coils/wire/raps/wick are you using?

If you're wrapping micro coils, they're ideal for cotton wool wick. TBH i only use cotton wool now because it's so easy to get along with.

Example of mine then on a similar set up to yours. Single coil, 0.28mm kanthal wire, 7 wraps around a 2mm pop rivet shaft comes in at around 1.3 - 1.4 ohms. That's in a smok mini & a YADA. Then i thread the cotton wool through the coil & tuck it round the centre post in a 'u' turn & trim it so it fills the base of the atty. The cotton wool should be fluffed up, not compressed & it should fill the coil but be free when pulled left & right. Keep the area between the air hole & the coil clear & adjust the height of the coil so it sits about 3/4 below the air hole (Unless your atty is air fed from underneath) That's just one simple way.

The only thing i would recommend is that you upgrade to a battery with a bit more welly.

I'll have to try cotton, as i was saying I didn't get on with it I'm my evod's, taste wise that is. Maybe combination of my juices and set up. I'll have to give it a whirl with the Micro.

I'm waiting on a vamo v5 at the min it's a 'SlowTech' jobby so I may get it this year if I'm lucky, kick some Micro ass then.

It's a different ball game in a dripper, the cotton wool. Just don't try dry burning it, keep it moistened once it's in the atty & then fire it. Good luck with you're new set up.

Have to go along with vaporsizer I was a bit iffy about cotton wool for a while, mainly because I needed more self control to stop myself having that one last toke, and burning the damned stuff. However, by plodding along, I'm sort of used to it now, and have reversed my thinking ie, I prefer cotton. A neat tightly wrapped microcoil over a 2mm template and used with cotton wool just seems to last forever, a minute to pull an old bit of cotton out and dry burn the coil until 'glows like new' , shove a bit of new cotton in, and jobs a good 'un. That itching to build a new coil, just for the sake of it, feeling comes a lot sooner than the coil actually needing to be changed.
