my rx200 is pants

got a rx200 today and the tc part wont work press the fire button three time`s quickly and it should change but all i get is wattage mode even upgraded to latest firmware and its still pants and wont work. i dont have a tc coil tank so cant check it that way so now i have to wait for the company i bought it from to get back to me hopefully they deal with it soon with some help of some sort

I had a duff one too. The threads were kinked before I even used it and could feel it from the moment I put on first atty. Luckily sent it back to Elegant Vape and apart from not sending item back special like I had originally ordered everything went well and smooth. Works like a charm now. Hope it gets sorted for you soon as its a very good mod.

thats what iam hoping for if they want it back then all have to wait till next week and then it will be just a waiting game foir weither a refund or replacement which is what i would prefer even if they test it before sending wopuld be good so i know iam getting a good one

I was actually really worried because I have not had any good dealings with UK vendors when things go wrong. I can honestly say I have had far better customer service off Fasttech when things don't go right. Getting Ego style batts returned after 4 months use, Doa, faulty mods and even just straight up attitude with communication. So this was a great surprise to me. Let us know how you get on and if it's resolved.

it seems tobe working now but only after i changed the tank to another subtank mini with a lower ohm build in it which is really weird as it works with out the tank fitted aswell now also just tried the other subtank mini i was using before and no go both tanks have the rba section fitted aswell but only one works so i`m guessing its one of my tanks thats dodgey but i wont know till friday and then i can try another tank on it

I have found quite often that the Kanger Subtank can be a bit hit and miss in TC, one can work perfectly, where another has constant connection issues, you basicly need to strip it down and find where the issue is, and can be anything from the coil connections, to 510 connection. It's the one good point about the Escribe software with the DNA200, where you can actual go into atty check mode and see if the resistance is shifting.?

@stuartd temperature control is shit anyway so imo your not missing anything but a shit cool vape. I have an rx200 and got it for the power and battery life I also have other mods with TC but never use it coz I've been there done that and found I get a much better vape from straight kanthal coils, ni80 or advanced coils like claptons etc. Apart from the uncertainty of safe vaping from nickel I found you are so limited to the builds you can do and the vape imo doesn't taste any better and is no where near warm enough for my liking. I like a nice warm flavourful vape which I never got from TC builds.

Reading this thead about duff rx200 mods being bought doesn't surprise me one bit. If you think about it it's manufactured as a cheap 200 watt box mod which has been mass produced to flood the market coz the gap was created for a cheap version of the dna200. I too have found fault with mine as it's temperamental on which dripper it wants on it and it doesn't like the tugboat one bit. I've only tried it the once but it's a bugger to get to screw down proper and if it does it has a huge gap, other drippers have the slightest gap and some screw on as they should do but the tugboat won't be touching it again as it's not a clone and I an't fucking up my threads on it.

Well I've got 2x RX200s and haven't had any issues with either, @crunchynut regarding tc being a cold vape, all I can say is it's gotta be settings and build that must be at fault as I enjoy warm tc vapes which are comparable to kanthal but must admit things have to be right ie wicking, settings and build. Hope you get it replaced @stuartd as imo it's a great device
