Well why didn't he back up his story then, as soon as someone said to contact police he didn't want to know plus my misses comes from stocton which is in the north east and london to northeast on a train doesn't take 5 hours, i could drive there in 4hrs 15mins

It says on Google 3ish hours. But that doesn't take into account for where in London his journey started. It has taken me more than 2 hours to cross London by train. Also I have spent an hour sitting in a train at Kings Cross because of various issues on the network. It once took me 3 hours to get from Earls Court to Paddington.
