Been playing again today, must have wrapped more coils in the last few days than I have since I started vaping. Thought I would try number 13, wick legs inside the ceramic. I now have the flow control open 4 turns and no flooding plus a bonus of making the draw tighter. Strangely I am getting a little less vapour but much more flavour and wow how lemony is chefs vapour lemon coconut cream cake almost too much :-) starting to make that lemon face!.

I am also winding the coils with 0.25 because I noticed that the leg that goes to the metal casing only has a short run compared to the insulated leg ,on the version two only the pin side is insulated the case side is just a channel straight into the thread and no insulation, therefore the connection is going to be made as soon as the coil exits from the ceramic holder and will the path of least resistance so the non res wire is redundant.. So I made two coils one with a non res wire each end and one with just one non res wire. Then I put the meter across and found that there was just 0.2 resistance difference once mounted in the atty, this of course could be my inept coil wrapping!!. So now I run the non res down to the center pin and the other end down to the casing trapping the wire under the ring. All 5 coils at the top glow red and the resistance is just 2.3.
Now this makes coil making a piece of pi££ as you dont have to worry about the lengths of res and non res that you use. I am no electrical engineer so somebody that knows about this stuff can you tell me is this good or bad? i.e logical or illogical *spock*

Sorry for long post and any dodgy words or spelling are down to Tapatalk and spell check :-) ( should be better now got off my *rs* and turned the computer on :) )

Mine arrived just this morning, decided to try the easy set up No.3 together with 38mm of 0.20 wire, giving me 1.8 ohms, and it's vaping like a beast and it's giving me plenty of flavour.

mrbalders - Not tried this so is the extra wick on top or underneath the coil ? Does it stay there bearing in mine you are turning the flow control and this could pull it off !! Which is why I have not tried it :)

My only problem now is the vapour and flavour are so good on the nautilus nothing else comes close. I have even started punching two holes in my tank cartos to get extra juice flowing so I can live with them during the day :-)

The top wick of mine is in the top of the other one, but I have left enough for it to slightly overhang the sides, so that the air control tube traps it in place.

Looks nice and neat. I'm looking for something small that will go on a Zmax Mini and give me a nice clean taste. The Nautilus looks smashing but I think it would be a little big for me..
