I've been vaping now for 9 weeks and I was looking to get myself a mech mod but I dont really know which ones are good as this will be my first I don't want to spend a ton of money in case I dont get on with them. I've seen a few could some of you advise me as to which I would be best getting.
Smok Magneto - http://www.smokshop.com/collections/frontpage/products/smoktech-magneto-telescopic-mod
Sigelei - http://www.ukecigcabin.com/product/sigelei-mod
DS mod - http://www.modsandatties.com/gb/home/9-the-ds-mod.html
Sentinel v3 - http://www.modsandatties.com/gb/home/21-sentinel-v3.html
and a few on vapegeek
h cigar nemesis - http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hcigar-Nemesis-556.htm
h cigar chi you - http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hcigar-Four-Seasons-Chi-You-555.htm

or if you guys have any other suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Nemesis and Chi You clones and they are great. Very well made and no issues with either of them. I don't think you could go wrong with either of them.

Picked up the nemesis as my first mech more than happy

I'll try help, and that using a bang for buck formula
the smok magneto and sigelei are both long in the tooth. there is better to be had
the ds mod, (with exceptions of course) those side firing buttons add yet another path to an electrical circuit which would need cleaning, plus to me it isnt so nice for the button to be on the side. your experience may vary, but just take this for what it is.
the sentinel v3 on mods and atties is an abortion. why? because even I dont know what they are selling half the time. some of the photos are of an m16 brass, and some are of a sentinel v3, and all of them are lifted from another site best as I can tell. *if* it is actually an m16 brass, thats probably the most robust one on the list so far, and cheap too. But *I* wont buy from there given that product listing. I dont know what I am buying.
the nemesis and chi you are both good, but may be considered a cut above. Theyre better/prettier (exceptions welcomed, as it is a personal thing) that the others, and are very versatile..airflow controllers and so on.

If my budget was £40, then I would point at the nemesis and say "thank you vape geek"
If my budget was as little as possible, I would email/phone mods and atties and ask them what they are selling. If it is the full brass thing in the pictures, then that is good bang for buck. and ask them why they made it difficult to see what it is they are trying to sell.:-)

But when it boils down to it...youre going to be holding it an awful lot of the time. It may be a good idea to meet up with some folks, or go to a brick and mortar and get a feel for the things. What I like, and also what anybody else here likes, is a very personal experience.

M16 in brass is a fantastic bit of kit. Well put together and staggeringly cheap at 11 quid.

Adjustable centre pin, locking ring, telescopic 18350 to 18650, brass contacts. It's a real star. Even riptripper who absolutly hates clones admitted that it performed better than the original.

Well, I *think* the one on modsandatties is a brass m16 clone but I'd confirm it with them first before taking the plunge. I got mine from fasttech in about a fortnight.

Not seen them anywhere else.

Make sure it's the brass one you go for, the stainless steel has a poor reputation for soft 510 threads
