5 minutes ago mate I'm a bugger for anything Brass. Thankfully I have a Chi you to keep me happy til this arrives though

cool Durham keep me posted of when you get yours - i'm not really fond of the brass but i got told the threads on the silver one were crap so i'll go for the brass I just wanted something cheap but decent as my first mech to see how I get on with em really but if I like em as much as I think I will i'll be back for the nem the chi you and that really nice little caravela clone they have on FT.

i'm planning to use it mostly with an 18350 what do you mean by a small 18650 like an efest rather than a panasonic or do you mean a flat top as opposed to a button top?

I have a protected AW, and sony un-protected. Both are too long to get all the threads screwed in fully.
I dunno what battery would suit it better. Anything less than 18650 will not be an issue.

You're right about the oversized 18650's, they do fit in and you can screw it together but there will be a short section of thread showing on the telescoping section. Flat tops are fine as is anything 18500 and down. I actually think it looks and handles best with an 18500 in


Edit.... you're probably going to want to get a tin of brasso. It looks lovely when it's polished but it's a bugger to keep shiny.
