Hi all

would post in the mixing section but as new will not let me yet

i have just brought my first mixing kit from alchemistcuboard
and want to create tjuice USA reds but I'm using the breaktru calc
and cannot get the right ratio of 80pg/20vg as the nicotine is 72mg vg I take it I should of brought pg nicotine any advice would be great please
also with the kit I got some Capella what's the best to use 10% or 15% like tjuice

thanks

Might be as easy to buy the T-Juice concentrate pal

Your mixing calculation is all pending on the nic level you're shooting for. At least, it is going to matter a lot in figuring out your blend, given your ingredients.

I just played around with breakthru and found the highest nic level you can mix at 80/20 with your VG based nic is 7mg final product with 20% flavouring. (7.2mg nic, mathematically speaking)
Of course, the flavour % will affect this if you change it around, since most concentrates are PG-based. Put more or less of that in and you'll have to rearrange either the PG/VG % or the nic level.

Using the same flavour %, you can get these results if you're willing to sacrifice the 80/20 blend:

60/40 - 22mg (21.6mg, mathematically)
65/35 - 18mg (on the nose)
70/30 - 15mg (14.4mg, rounded up to be safe)
73/27 - 12mg (Technically, a 73.3/26.7 blend)

If you're dead-set on 80/20, then you may wish to consider a PG-based nic.
Personally, I like a range of 40/60 - 30/70 PG/VG blends, so I went with the AG nic (VG nic + purified water).
Also, I'm floating in the 6-8mg nic range for my juices, so I'm not using much of the nic in the recipes. So, even if I had a PG-based nic, I wouldn't have an issue with it affecting the PG/VG ratio that much.

I can't comment on the % of Capella with any experience behind it, as I'm still steeping the first batch of juices I've created, which are using concentrates from The Perfumer's Apprentice. I have some Capella, but not touched those yet. But, going by the info on Chef's Vapour, the flavour mix ranges from 5-20%. That would be why you mix trial 1-5ml batches without nic, so you find the % you like with each flavour without wasting a lot of ingredients. When you're more confident in how much flavour you need, then that's when you start making the larger batches and adding in the nic.

P.S - I hope this wasn't too confusing. It started out well in my head, but I fear I've not conveyed my point in the text above.

Thanks fleXbad
Spot on info I will try some different ratios in small batches and see what works best just that I'm hooked on tjuice USA reds and would like to get near it

Thanks

Just an opinion but VG nic is far better :) PG nic nasty. Each to their own though.

Cheers all for the replies I will have a go at different ratios and see how I get on all I need now is a lab coat and bunser burner :)
