What's new

New to Vapeing & Lost

If you want MTL, then a high ohm coil is defo where you need to be, so either the 1.2 or 1.5 ohm(can't see a 1.8 for that tank) coil would suit you in that case..and you can run those with your mod at around 10-15 watts or thereabouts.

MTL method is generally what many vaping newbies looking to quit the ciggies, start with. MTL (Mouth to Lung) offers the closest experience to smoking, as in a tighter draw into the mouth, then inhale/exhale. It's a cooler vape, uses less juice & you can use higher nicotine strenght juice with these higher resistance coils, typically 12 to 20mgs, depending on what your tobacco consumption was. When i quit smoking (20/day man), i started with 12mgs 50VG/50PG juice. Generally get a flavour reponse if you use the higher PG juices. Sub ohm (DTL) tank tend to use higher VG juices that produce more vapour. So get a packet of those higher ohm coils and see how do with those ones. If it's not enough, then try the 1.2 coils.

Congrats on staying off the ciggies since November mate, keep it up! :)2:thumbup:

Hi Keith and welcome to the planet.

youve got all the answers above as i was beaten too it.
sadly those coils will only work in a TC temperature control mod. so stay clear of Ni nickel and Ti titanium as these wont work in a wattage mod.
SS stainless steel can be used in either mode.
TC is not for me. ive been vaping for 4 years and have 30 mods now with most having TC and ive only ever used wattage.

with the subtank youve got a choice.
these are stainless steel SSOCC but there are also some older OCC coils avaialble as well.
for the price on Jac Vapour posted above thats a great price for a box of 5 coils.
0.2 ohm - 20 - 70 watt - (direct lung inhale)
0.5 ohm - 15 - 30 watt - (direct lung inhale)
1.2 ohm - 12 - 25 watt - (mouth to lung inhale)
1.5 ohm - 12 - 18 watt - (mouth to lung inhale)

i use the 0.5 at 20-22watts on a 40watt mod.
if you wanted a more of a tighter draw more like smoking then the 1.2 or 1.5 would be better which are best at 10-15watts.

Wow you guys are great & a really really big help thank you so much i'm extremley grateful :) I've learnt more about vaping in less than 24Hrs than anything :) I'm truly humbled to say the least :)

Don't worry about posting mate as that's what most of us are here for.

We do have a sales section but you need 100 posts before that is viewable. I'm not sure if the comp and giveaway section comes under that category and can't check as on phone but that could be 20 posts needed.

You could always keep the coils and if in the future you get a TC mod then you could try temp control using the same tank and these coils.

... Could anyone please tell me what settings if any i can use? ...

Kind Regards
Keith
Hi Keith,
Theoretically the device could fire that coil safely at 31.5W, but it won't because the manufacturer has protected it against you inadvertently using the highest power setting, which would draw too many Amps at 0.15 resistance. The battery can only handle 14.5A and a 0.15 coil at full power would draw 16.3A which would damage the battery and could be dangerous to you personally, so they've set the device such that if it detects a resistance lower than 0.2 Ohm it won't fire.
So the answer to your question is, on that coil there is no setting that you can use. Sorry.

It's always appreciated when people take the time to thank us for our help - many don't - so thank you. We're always keen to help anyone get off the smokes for good! Be good to hear how you get on, hopefully with the right coils you'll be well on your way :)2
