Hello my names Peter and live in Gosport (Portsmouth)
a couple of questions if I may

I have a straight forward e go unit with an 1100 battery and sometime struggle to get a decent vape , also the head gets quite warm at times and when the juice gets low in the tank i can only discribe as a burnt taste ?. would I be better off getting a pro tank head unit instead of using the standard e go head , would that help with the vaping

and the second question

how good are the juices you get from market stall compared to the juices you can get from a proper ejuise supplier

i don't think I'm ready yet to start making my own

as I have said I'm new to vaping about a month now
so please be gentle with me
many thanks in advance

When the juice gets low you need to tilt the tank to get it nice and wet, drag hits are nasty! As for market juice, it depends on what juice they are selling. The vendors online are mostly good to awesome and you can check out here to see if they are good or to be avoided. If it is I branded I'd be wary but if in doubt just ask!

My first CE4 head was fine, but subsequent ones didn't produce a decent vape. It was suggested they may have been too high a resistance for the standard ego battery. I've since bought egos, a protank and DCT - I still use Ego batteries, but one is a twist, which is better with the DCT. I'm also using the twist mostly with the Protank simply because I'm still using the original 2.4ohm head - not tried the protank with the 1.8ohm yet (I have a few 1.8ohm for the Evods & Protank).

For me, CE4 was fine as a start, but I'm so much happier with the upgrades, especially the Kanger tanks (I don't mind the airy draw and like the cooler vape of the BCC).

I think juice quality does vary considerably, and it's probably an area where brands and reading reviews is worthwhile. Many decent juices can be got quite cheaply online (much cheaper than the £5 our local bricks & mortar shop charges).

As for mixing, it's a doddle - ( got my first Ego kit with juice included and went off & ordered all the gear & was mixing my own a week later). It can cost a bit to get set up, but it results in tailored juices to your taste at around £1 per bottle.

Living in Gosport why not pop along and have a chat with Lee at Alba Vapours,he's a decent bloke and will give you good advise,he also happens to sell some damn tasty juices. Vogel

Hi Pete,

I've only been vaping a bit longer than you and started off with the same sort of kit, I have since changed from the CE4/CE5 clearomisers to Kanger Evods now as I find they vape alot better and are easy enough to recoil/wick, I also prefer the bottom coil tanks now which evods are.

As for market stalls they're not all bad, there's one local to me in Northampton and he's very good, even has a load of clearo's filled with juice for you to try before you buy. I can't say what yours is like but you won;t know until you try.

My opinion for what it's worth Pete is:

Buy a 1000mAh EGO-C Twist £24ish
A Kanger Protank I or 2 kit or a Davide Glassomizer kit.. It doesn't really matter which but the kits come with the vanity ring and a spare head. £14.50ish
A spare Protank 1.8ohm head for fifty bob or so and tell Lee to sort himself out and get in some 5-pkt Protank/Evod heads as I couldn't see any on his site page.

As for juice, well that's very subjective. One man's meat etc.. The best thing to do is to look around for somewhere that does 5ml samples and buy a selection to find out which flavours and strengths you like. Then you can buy it in larger quantities when you have.

One thing with juice Pete. Do not buy any juice that doesn't have the following on the label.

Date of manufacture.
Nicotine content.
VG/PG mix.
Full list of ingredients.
Toxicity warning.
Flavour of course.

If people stopped buying juices that do not have all the basic customer requirements above, then these fly-by-night juice vendors that have sprung up all over the country will either have to shape up or go back to stacking supermarket shelves.
The MHRA, Big P&T, if not already, will be scrutinising e-juice vendors very closely just looking for the slightest excuse to bring in regulation and we can do our bit show we don't need regulation as we're self-regulatory.

If you get what's on the list Pete you'll be as happy as pig in shit for another month or two when you'll be asking about re-coiling and wicking which is the next step. Have fun.

I wont post a link as I'm new here and some fora get a bit funny about posting links etc and I'm not au fait with local customs just yet but if you don't know where Lee hides out, it's just up the road to you. ATB.
