Hi all, gave up smoking 2 weeks ago, and was about to succumb again when discovered vaping.
i smoked roll ups, about 10 a day (secret smoker from my kids, used to batch roll and store) I tried a nicotine patch once in the past and was nauseous as anything after 2 hours. Sensitive to nicotine I guess.
ive got nicolites rechargeable, low nicotine. After 2 days, I'm enjoying, but get slight slight queasiness and dry ish softish throat ( not terrible but noticeable)
i realise that many of you consider nicolites rechargeable to be not the best ( why can I not see the ingredients on their website? I have no idea of the PG/VG in them).
i want to know what would be better to use in your opinion for someone like me, a mum of two young kids, don't want to be vaping in front of them, so can't be sitting about refilling all the time ( but could occasionally). Is there a system as convenient as these but better? Or nearly as convenient. Realise there will be some work involved, don't mind that, but needs to be fairly subtle..

Welcome, as a mum of 2 who was a secret smoker I know what it's like. I used to be forever in my garden "checking on my chickens"! The kids never sussex but the guilt was horrible! We never put down any vaper or their gear here-the main thing is that you are vaping-well done :) I'm guessing most folks will recommend some sort of ego set up, very easy to use and faff free. Plus with the bigger battery you'll find it's even less messing around than your current kit. I'll leave it up to the other guys to come up with the recommendations though. The queasiness might be down to the nicotine being too high and the dry throat will be the pg (base for the liquid). Try a liquid with a higher vg content and drink lots too as it can be drying.

Hi there Maxemoss and welcome to the forum! I am a mum of 3 (twins nearly 13 and a nearly 4 yr old) We have a few other mums here too! Glad you found us.

Over the past couple of days, the best recommendation has been Ego Twists with a Vision clearomiser on top :) They are the easiest to fill and deal with which provides a longer vaping experience.

Nicolites probably use a higher PG content as it is the easiest to mix and fill with. You can get juices that have lower PG content.

How much did you smoke before and what was the MG of the patch? (just trying to work out where the nausea is coming from) because it could be either or from too much or too little nicotine.

Thanks, I'm on the low nic cartridges, so...don't think I can get much lower. Will prob get used to it! And yet to learn about liquids, am sure I will!
Thanks again!

Hi there and welcome . I echo Purplefowler's comments. All Vapers welcome here whatever device they use!
I'm not familiar with nicolites but I'm guessing they are similar in size to a real cigarette? The best option might be to get a bigger battery. Ego size are universally regarded as a good step up in battery longevity. They also allow you to use a variety of things on it. But only if you want to. There are no rules :)

Thanks, re patches, can't remember, but know it was lowest. I'm a small person, just under 8 stone, so it figures that I might need less nicotine than a 16 stone bloke. I just assume better to stick to low amounts. I smoked about 10 roll ups a day with filters, but I was not a really heavy drawer.

Do the nicolites have a number on the side, I know the skycigs do, I think their standard is 12mg so I assume the nicolites would be similar. You can get pretty much any strength you like. Myrecommendation would be a plain genuine ego battery as these have a nice battery level function. My 1000mah ego lasts all day and I'm not a light vaper. So a 650mah will probably suit you and have a small form factor. Then a mini nova or vision clearomiser as already said. Finally get yourself some 6mg nic liquid with a higher vg content so you know exactly what level of nicotine you are using. You can then adjust from there. Vendors here will advise you and mix something to suit you i'm sure. I don't know how accurate the nicotine level is in profiled cartos.

Hope this helps

Rob

Hi, the nicolites low is 6 mg. I will check all these things out. I'm noticed vape escape don't seem to have lower pg liquids, or am I looking in wrong place. Will look about anyway!
thanks so so much, so helpful!

One more thing, still looking, but struggling to find places that sell liquid that is low nicotine and lower pg to vg ratio, infact struggling to find places that even say what the pg/vg is! Sorry to be stupid but there are so many websites out there...! Any direct pointers appreciated.

Most places will be 70%PG and 30%VG. The PG is the thing making your throat dry. Combat this with more water intake, Waves of Vapour can make you a tailored juice to your nic level and PGVG ratio of choice. A few other home brewers can as well.
