I hope you get on with your new kit I just can’t get on with DTL good luck with it as I only do MTL so here’s hoping it keeps you off of the cigarette’s.

I hope it satisfies me too. Do you mind me asking what it is you don't like about DTL? It might be because I'm using high nicotine strength salts (I'm using 20mg) but I found MTL to be quite harsh on my throat as well as giving me terrible dry mouth.

What is it about the kit I bought that makes it unsuitable for MTL? That's something I've been wondering since seeing that there are different ways to vape.

Hi there, I just don’t enjoy DTL, and I can’t get on with nic salts either nic salts irritate my throat. MTL suits the way I Vape, DTL you need to lower the nic content to probably 3 or 6 ml higher nic content is better for MTL. Just my opinion here before you start splashing out cash do a bit of research about different kits and coil sizes for your style of vaping otherwise you might end up with a kit that you might not like. Enjoy your vaping journey.

The Freemax Maxus Solo kit comes with the Freemax Fireluke Solo tank, which is specifically designed for sub ohm (less than 1ohm, normally 0.2 ish) DTL vaping. Subohm vaping is done at higher Wattage (you need more watts to get the coil hot), and you will need to draw more air through the coil, otherwise it will burn the cotton very quickly. Subohm tanks produce a lot more vapour, and are normally used with freebase nic at the 3 or 6mg level.

The Kit you bought comes with 2 coils, the 0.15 and 0.2ohm. It is just not designed for MTL vaping. However, you could get a different tank, which will fit on the mod. There are plenty of MTL 510 tanks available, something like the Aspire Nautilus 3.

Sorry to Labour the point but what is it about the Fireluke tank that makes it unsuitable for mouth to lung? I'm interested in the mechanics as I've used it both ways and it seems fine with MTL and DL.

I spent about 2 hours today watching the channel you linked to in the first video, MIST.
I will have a look at those brands, thanks for the recommendations. At the moment I've got juices by Holy Cow, Riot Squad and Shurbz.
I much prefer the way the Freemax Maxus Solo feels in my throat vs the Smok Nord 2, less harsh but my wife isn't impressed by the huge vapour clouds

when it comes to vape its easier to change your wife than your kit

as the maxus is a new kit they usually only have sub ohm coils available so there will be much bigger clouds. later down the road they may like other sub ohm tanks bring out a higher ohm coil which needs less wattage so less cloud.

different styles of vaping.
MTL mouth to lung like smoking a cig. high ohm coil lower wattage tighter draw can use much higher nicotine upto 18mg (or nic salts 20mg). best with 50vg/50pg
DTL direct to lung sub ohm inhaling directly into your lungs uses low ohm coil using much higher wattage much loser draw with much bigger clouds. best at 3-6mg max and best using thicker juice at 70vg
