Hi,

I'm a newbie from Glasgow - recently stopped smoking but would like something nicotine free to puff in case of lapses of self-control. (eg nights out where alcohol is involved!)

My experience of vaping so far has not been very good. My daughter got a cheap "e-shish" from eBay which I tried a few times with nicotine free liquid. I could hardly taste or feel anything and it gave me tight chest and sore head. I also tried a disposable one, which tasted a bit better (although a bit too much like an actual cigarette) but also caused the tight chest and headache. I felt worse than if I'd just given in and smoked a fag! (Except it didn't lead to smoking a whole pack, which would have been much worse.)

I wonder if I would have these issues with a better quality vaper and liquid (my daughter thinks I may be allergic to the glycerine?) but don't really want to spend lots of money on something that just makes me feel ill.

Any suggestions what to try? I really am a bit lost.

Hi @Morgenstern23 and welcome to the planet, I would be inclined to steer away from buying products off of the bay unless they have a dedicated website which sells vaping gear.Getting a liquid with zero nic is not a problem, my advice would be to have a little read through the juice reviews on here regards to flavours, if they are bad you will get told they are bad if they are good you will more often than not see plenty of replies backing up the fact they are good. Plenty of vendors on here, Jim from Kraken liquids is one. Regards to a PV then an Evod starter kit is something a lot of people go for, these can be purchased from MyEpack for example at a good price. The MVP2 is another quality device with variable power control. Tight chests and headaches can be associated with coming off the cigarettes if that is what you have done. How many were you on a day and have you quit altogether? But you are right that some people are allergic to PG. Regards to the feel of vaping, nicotine does play a part in giving you a throat hit so it could be this that you are missing.

There's a vape shop in The Forge shopping centre in Glasgow. Maybe give them a try. Haven't been myself yet.

could I ask you to sign and support the EFVI initiative to help stop the proposed eu ban against ecigs - www.efvi.eu
