Newbie here needs advice

OK so I've mixed up an 80/20 high vg mix with 20% raspberry Slush from the Alchemist cupboard (also where I got my nic from) 1 mix with no nicotine and one with 4% nicotine so I hopefully should be able to figure out if it's the nicotine or not by tomorrow, I have ordered some more nicotine from DarkStar after reading so many of you rate it so highly

I'll let you know tomorrow if the problem is still there

OK so I have figured out that the problem with my mixes and the fact I had to bin a shed load of eliquid I had made myself was the nicotine, been vaping on some blue raspberry Slush with no nicotine added and it's lovely despite the fact I only made it last night, no harshness at all.

So what are my options now people, do I bin the other mixes I've made and the rest of my nicotine and just buy it all again or is there something else I can do, I've ordered some more nicotine from DarkStar anyway ?

If your nicotine is bad there isn't much that you can do, I would get in contact with the original supplier and request a refund.

Harsh nic can mellow out after a few weeks, I wouldn't write it off just yet.

I've emailed them and will see what they say, it was The Alchemist Cupboard I ordered it from, hopefully they can sort it, am I right in saying you really shouldn't taste the nicotine ?

That is correct you'll get a little bit of a throat hit from the nicotine but at 3% it should be almost non existent, bad nicotine is generally characterised by having a peppery taste. Thinking about it, if it doesnt have that peppery taste it could be nicotine hotspots that has given the harshness. Did you mix up a unflavoured test with just the nicotine at 3% after giving it a good shake? What colour is the nicotine?

The nicotine is a brown/orange colour, I've mixed up batches with no nicotine and they are fine so it must be the nicotine that's doing it

A brownish orange is almost certainly bad nicotine, it should be clear.
