We're moving on November the 7th to a vicarage of all places, consecrated ground with a garden on all four sides of the house. Mrs SV has had enough of the office taking over and we're going to have a looooot more space. Emma is also going to be joining me at the desk, processing and packing orders so I can have more time to develop the site and source new products. My spell of ill health had the hidden benefit of Emma learning the ropes with our order management software and as Bill will soon be at nursery age we'll be kicking ass together and able to manage even more orders. I'm also quite excited that the ground floor is parquet flooring throughout so I should be able to scoot from one site of the office to the other when picking orders :)

This marks a significant step up for us, and we're all really excited about it so I just wanted to share this news with you and also thank you guys for your support and custom over the last 2 years. We couldn't have done it without you :)

We'll also be vat registered from November, which means that some prices might go up a little, some will stay the same. We're hoping to keep most of our prices more or less the same. This might involve the discount codes being dropped though but we're on the fence about that. It's going to take a bit of headscratching to properly work out what the margins are and see how the numbers work, but we'll make sure they're still fair. Promise.

Back to the vicarage, it's next door to a church and I have a sneaking suspicion there will be choir practice and bell ringing so on the rare occasions I go out for a drink I can see it being a fairly miserable hangover the next day.

Consecrated ground might even mean that none of my ex's should be able to pass over the threshold should they be in the area. Beats a line of salt across the doorway hands down :D

Best wishes to you all.

Had to laugh at the parquet flooring and scooting across it :D

Don't be lifting anything whilst moving home whatever you do!! Sounds like a really good move for you all and I wish you a smooth move!

They say that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do. They are wrong. Not speaking your mind to an angry farmer telling you to get 'orf is larnd' when it is a clearly signposted public right of way is way more stressful.

Me and my outlaw biker brothers are eagerly looking forward to the house-warming invite.

All the best with the move, Rob.

...And do you think someone somewhere has a job testing chairs on wheels with wooden floors? That would be a killer job, I'd love that.

Good luck with the move hopefully you and the family will get settled down quickly

Remember breath long and deep

Good luck with the move and be careful with the chairs, push too hard and you could end up stuck to the wall like one of those '80's Garfields...:rotflmao:

i rang them mate but don't know if they will be able to instal for the 7th and they said this one only goes up and down :P
