Nicotine levels-MTL/DTL

I have a quick question please apesters. I use both MTL and DTL set ups. In the MTL I am currently content with 12mg nic content. What would you say was the correct nic content for the DTL set up to keep things balanced out. 3mg or 6mg?.

its all down to taste. to start i was on m2l 18mg and then went down to 12mg

d2l ive never used above 3mg. some people prefer 6mg and a couple of lunatics on here use 12mg but fek knows how.

I'd say 3mg.

I started on the same strength - 12mg, MTL, and when I moved over to DTL I tried 6mg but it blew my throat off and vaping it all day gave me headaches. Went to 3mg and no problems.

If you think about the quantity and density of vapour you take on with DTL, compared to MTL, I personally reckon it's probably closer to four times the quantity, rather than just double (no evidence to back that up though, and of course it will depend who is vaping and what with! ).

I use 6mg for dtl and find it fine. It depends a lot on what wattage you use. I use lower watts , if you use high drop the nic to 3mg

Thanks Davrog. What I thought. Unsure of what would be the correct nic content I bought samples of both. The 6mg is feeling really rough to me but was a little surprised at that so felt the need to ask.

I have a scritchy throat at the mo so can't tell if it's the extra temperature of the DTL set up irritating it or the nic. Only at 30w on 0.8 ohm coil DTL. 3mg feels better but didn't want to be getting through a pint a day unconsciously making up for nic deprivation. Thanks for responses all.

I used to stick to 3mg. I tried 6mg once (I didn't realise it was 6, thought it was my usual 3mg) and literally my head was spinning and ended up on my knees hanging my head over the toilet, I was ill lol. Since then I've avoided anything over 3mg just in case it was the higher nic that made me feel poorly. Never happened again since. Not saying that'll happen to anyone else, I'm in poor health as is, was more just to give folk a chuckle at my expense than anything lol.

I'm all over the place with watts I use and both MTL and DTL.... thought if it kept upping the watts DTL there would be no going back..... Anyway...MTL kayfun 1.5mg (TC) but be lucky if is its using 15 watts or 80 watts dripper DTL 1.5mg...don't seem to make much difference to me and can't be bothered making different nic level juices.
