Does anyone know where I can get Nifethal 52? I did email Sandvik, who own the Kanthal brand, but they've not replied and are probably not interested in wasting their time on small fry... we'll see.

I'm interested in TC wires with a resistivity at least 3x that of Ni200 (and ideally TCR > 0.002 K-1). Depending on availability, Nifethal 52 looks like a possibility. I know Ti and Dicodes Resistherm fall in this range, but I'm looking for alternatives. The reason is my pipeline pro 2 has a 15A limit, meaning dual coils with Ni200 is impractical. Dicodes Resisthem is fine, but only available at 0.28 mm, and Ti has it's own offputting features (but I will try it one day).

I've also read about Reactor wire (another NiFe wire) but I can't find a supplier for that either, so any pointers would be appreciated.

interested to know what the offputting features of Ti are in yor opinion!?! Have been vaping Ti for the last 8 months so have some experience!
Anyway, Zivipf in germany have all guages of Nifethal52 (aka NiFe48).

Well, I always read it was very springy etc. and from the descriptions I thought I'd hate using it. As a result I started investigating NiFe wires.

I actually did finally order some 0.3 mm Ti, and I have to say that after a brief play around I'm sure I could use it without issues. Nevertheless, I still want to grab some NiFe48 to see how it compares - thank you very much for the link.

@danb have you had a look at stealth vapes NiFe? Comes in .3 and .4

Yes, I have some already (well almost, it's waiting for me in the post office), but the resistivity is too low for this application.

I'm not sure if you've actually read the specs for the Pipeline pro 2 but it will work with resistances from 0.05 Ohms upwards, this makes NiFe30 a perfect wire for this, in fact it's alloy characteristics are based in Dicodes resitherm. Since Dicodes make the Pipeline A wire based on Dicodes resitherm is bound to be fine - I don't get why you'd need such a strange choice of wire when standard NiFe30 will work perfectly well...

Yeah, I have read the specs. The PP2 has a 15A limit, so to take advantage of the full power range (40 W) you need to build above ~0.2 ohms otherwise it throws error codes at you. For me, the resistivity of Stealthvape NiFe30 (which is about 65% that of Dicodes NiFe30) is a bit low for me to do this comfortably with dual coils. Despite their similar elemental compositions, their TCRs and resistivities are significantly different.

Dicodes NiFe30 (Resistherm) is fine, I use that already, but variety is the spice of life. It's not that I need it, I just want to try new things.
