.2 kanthal 2 mm silica on igo w clone,goes ok till I try to get on posts. Just needed a wee rant lol,will keep practicing sure will get there eventually :-)

burn the coil with a lighter first before wrapping, then once you have it wrapped before feeding the wick through, make sure its good an hot. it will keep it stiff and prevent it from uncoiling

if its .2mm Kanthal I find that really flimsy, might be better using .28 or .32mm.

Had the same growing pains mate, keep going and you'll get it down I agree that .2 is harder to coil with than thicker wire. The best advice I can give as a newish coiler myself is don't be tooo delicate - wrap that sucker with some authority

Yeah mate I've got sausage fingers but it's much easier working with .30 .20 kanthal is too flimsy by far also wrap the coil around something like a screwdriver then loop the wick through the coil in a u using a piece of wire to thread it through
