I'm loving my new hcigar kraken, but discovered the apparent flaw (so I've heard) of genesis style attys when I took it to work yesterday, is that you really need to keep them upright or they make a mess. Which isn't really possible for me unless I'm at home.

Is it possible to build a kraken so it doesn't leak?
If not what other good non genesis rba choices are there?

I use an RSST When I cannot be bothered to drip...
Only way I've found to stop it leaking is - Roll the wick tighter. and so you have to give it a bit of a twist to get it into the wick hole :)

my rsst doesn't leak and I use a hybrid wick in that. The only draw back is if the wick is to tight it makes refilling it impossible (I don't have a syringe) as it causes an air lock in the tank when the bottle tip seals the fill hole.

I guess I could just do a single coil/mesh wick on the kraken and remove the grub screw each time I want to refill till I get a syringe.

On a side note am seriously loving my igo-w since I drilled out the air holes like you suggested. 0.7ohm dual coil with cotton and 2x 1.5mm air holes = nice thick clouds :-)

A lot of people love their Kayfuns. The thing can't be that popular for no good reason now can it?

If you own some carto-tanks, there are RBA's that fit inside like the Sophia, the Killer, and the Diver.

I personally use a Reo Grand 6ml bottom feeder. You "squonk" the bottle and it saturates the wick, then the juice gets sucked back down. It's using a real dripper without having to drip, or over-saturate a deck well, so there's zero leaking out of the airhole when put on it's side. 100% mechanical and machined from one solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum.

Yeah I know the kayfun's are popular, just wanted to explore what other options were available.

Never owned a carto tank system.

I do like the idea of the reo grand system but it's outta my price range at the moment.

Some nice pyrex carto tanks in the for sale section, cough, cough!

Kayfun, taifun, fogger.

If you buy clones all are available in the uk for £30 and all perform well. I only got my taifun cline yesterday so its on its first build, even a 1.8ohm micro coul and cotton in it perfirms well on a mech.

Guess my next atty will have to be a kfl+ or russian 91% as I like the air flow control options.

Thanks :-)

Taifun has airflow adjustment, you either omit the draw tube for wide open or fit either of the replacement draw tubes for airflow reduction, since all my attys end up wide open or drilled, its pretty much a moot point for me

I do like doing lung pulls so chances are whatever I get will have it's air flow wide open all the time anyway.
Had also considered the aqua but the capacity of the tank at 2 ml put me off a bit.
