What's new

Not-too-sugary juices, and good places to buy online?

...going to order a few vapouriz ones... all the fruity ones sound tempting and I see they have an ice mint - have been buying Britannia Gold's Ultra Icemint on and off since starting vaping, but it can be a bit harsh, and the last bottle I got was peach-coloured (usually it's clear) and tasted of I don't-know-what, so happy to try an alternative - as long as it tastes roughly like a Fox's glacier mint, I'll be happy.

Mint humbug sounds great, but I should have said I'm looking for 50/50 or close to if possible. Also, don't know what to do with shortfill liquid, it needs mixing with nicotine I guess?

What's a "chilled" liquid btw? Nothing to do with temperature I'm presuming??

If you like minty juice, try DripDrop Mint Humbug Shortfill. £10 for 100ml, and there is a code to make it cheaper.

Just explored this link further, I see they do do premixed too eg https://dripdropvapour.co.uk/e-liquids/polar-mint-10ml/

Seems cheap too - are DripDrops a good brand?

Sorry for all the follow-up questions, but for someone fairly new to this it's a bit bewildering the ammount of brands of juice out there, hard to tell which are the best (or if they're all fine??)

Anyway, as said, will be trying some Vapouriz fruity/minty ones and will try DripDrops too.

Just to help me make more sense of this, are there any other ranges/brands which are very well regarded, i.e. tasty flavours (minty/fruity), not overly sweet (to help coil life), and around 50/50 (or say 60/40 in either direction)? Or are the aforementioned ones as good as any?

They are pretty popular on here, and have a presence on the forum.

Shortfills just require you add a nic shot (bottle of nicotine put simply) to the bottle and allowing it time to steep (generally it'll need a good couple of weeks), the TPD rules forbid bottles over 10ml containing nicotine(hopefully we can forget this nonsense post-brexit - iirc TPD are rules coming out of the EU and we can shed that following Brexit, hopefully at least). I can't say for sure, but i'd assume chilled refers to some kind of menthol element, where the vape comes through with a chilled hit(my current shortfill has that, not working for me - i don't mind it, but it's not for me, you might like it however).

Yup, these vaping regulations are straight up dumb... what difference does it make if tank is more than 2ml, or a bottle of juice is more than 10ml?? "OK, you can vape, but we'll mildly inconvenience you in pointless ways just so we can say it's all properly regulated" - ugh...

As for "shortfills", I think I'll avoid them right now, same way I'm avoiding RTA's - I just want a tasty vape, not a DIY hobby :)

I find shortfills great (more juice for your money and less fiddly bottles to mess with), they just require a little more forward thinking so you can account for a waiting period before the juice is good to go, the one downside is not all of them are available in 10ml sizes, so testing flavours can be a bit of a gamble (double drip sell their juices in 10ml and shortfill incase you're interested to know, but are a bit more costly than other options). Couldn't live without my RTA right now and the coil/wick life is awesome comparatively(in fairness i don't have experience with pre-built coils beyond my single pen stick), but i can understand the desire to want to stick with prebuilt systems, swapping a coil is much easier, faster and more convenient.

I guess that's what it all comes down to really, conveniece. I still use my pen for convenience and when going out, keep my main mod for indoors use only.
