Nutter signs law that bans 'vaping'

Nutter by name, Nutter by nature.......Please save us from these self opinionated "Nutters" who don't even use facts for their ill informed views....think of the effin children's getting a bit over the top these days........

The chap just couldn't be better named than this could he :D I was reading this just now and wondering whether to list it, so I'm glad you did Blackhack

And before I get catcalls from people who have, umm, unfortunate surnames, I'm already in that club, so don't pull that one on me.... :28:

Deliberately over the top in my view. The more they repeat the same old mantras and especially those that involve the poor children the more it seeps into the public sub conscience.

Here's an extract from Mein Kampf

'.....all effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials and those must be expressed as far as possible in stereotyped formulas. These slogans should be persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward'

and

'..The art of propaganda consists precisely in being able to awaken the imagination of the public through an appeal to their feelings, in finding the appropriate psychological form that will arrest the attention and appeal to the hearts of the national masses '

Now Hitler was a nutter. Nutter may not be a Hitler but the proliferation of scare stories and knee jerk bans all have the smell of co-ordination to me.

and this in a place that 65 people have died this year from gun crime.............. you couldn't make it up!

THe sad bit about this sorry mess is that it's all "Emotional Blackmail".....have a look at some of the replies from ordinary citizens of Philli who certainly seem more well adjusted than Mr Nutter...

Perfectly illustrated by the ......... (insert words of choice) at the Stanton Glantz stable publishing a (yet another) half-baked preliminary study (actually a talk given at the American Association for Cancer Research annual meeting - emotive associations forming already?) picked up on here This is already starting to do the rounds in the shock schlock media.

Meanwhile we have a perfectly sensible letter to the editor of an NJ paperhere making a rational and well-argued point. Who is it written by? This chap, "Gilbert Ross, medical and executive director, American Council on Science and Health" want to read some more of their articles? Here, try these .

As a dedicated vaper you probably do have a bias to the latter organisation, but if you are Joe Public, the average daily mail reader, then the journalists you read won't want to you read any of this: it's boring, there are no explosions, poisonings, shock, awe, death or destruction ... or what Hitler said ...

As anybody who has visited philly knows, you can buy crack on a street corner, unregulated, and you can also (if you are drunk enough) buy a hooker (that turns out to have a nob) within spitting distance of those newish and expensive, Dockside Condominiums, also pretty much unregulated. Both of the aforesaid can be considered unsafe for public health and well being. Mayor Nutter's got a heck of a lot more bits of paper to sign before he totally rids his fine city of all of this prospective evil. :P oh, and ps, you can still buy as many cartons of 'buds' as you like and passively kill your kids (currently 52% of smokers in philly have pre teen children) without any restrictions whatsoever.
Aint statistics just wonderful?!!

The initial gun crime isnt the major concern, Its the second hand contaminants from the firearm discharge that worries me more. Are there any carcinogenic substances in the residue? Is there a risk of poisoning from other contaminants? I am further concerned about the possibility of second hand gunsmoke containing potentially nasty ingredients. Not least the fact that burning gun oil may make the situation worse. I feel that these people planning to use guns should only do so in suitable shelters provided for the use of guns. This would obviously reduce gun crime as well by allowing those not wishing to be shot to avoid frequenting a Gun Shelter. See, a safer Britain in one quick and easy move.
