The Octopus RDA is a Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser, it is an atomiser in which you drop liquid onto the wick, and continue to do so as the juice gets used. As with all Dripping Atomisers, you have the ability to change flavours without cleaning out the whole device.

The cap is possibly made from Aluminium, the base is made from a hard metal, possible Stainless Steel. There are two thumb screws for tightening down the coil.

This is a low cost device.

Note the coil quality:

The unit comes pre build and no drop tip or spares are provided. This one read 2.0 ohms on the Vamo.

The units has an air hole directly under the coil and wick. The air hole is then directed out to the side of the Octopus and another hole is provided in the cap. It does not seem that you need to align the unit and cap air holes and the vape seems consistent.

Due to the length of the wicks, it is difficult to place the top cap without the wick ending up through the drip tip hole, therefore as of right now, I suggest removing the drip tip only and not the top cap when dripping this one. Sadly there is no 'well' in the device, therefore if you drop too much liquid it will go through the air hole.

The supplied coil in my unit seems to be poor quality, the picture above shows how it looks close up.

I dripped some of Grant's Vanilla Custard onto the wick, and waited for it to absorb fully. I cranked the Vamo up to 9.0w and tested the unit.

The draw is a little tighter than I expected but on par with the similar Igo-L and Aga devices, maybe even a little airier.
The vape is smoothe, and consistent.
Flavour is good, maybe a little harsher than normal but I need to play with settings and I suspect a recoil is definitely in order.

The device looks good and feels good. The top cap is not a tight fit, but does remain on the device. The let downs are that there is no 'well' on the device and the coil seems to be poor quality.

Overall, I like this device. Especially as it is cheap, and the air hole below the wick is a great idea.

I wil continue to update this as I use the device over the next couple of weeks.

Likiing the look of this fella ...

is available from any other vendor ? Any ? anywhere?

I found this earlier, looks quite like the DRA, the ERA! Romastino style:

I can see benifits too the igo and the dra, dra is a smoother vape, and has enough wick to give the igoL a run for its money as to how much liquid it can take, still using the coil it came with, so I need to see yet how it can be after personal abuse. But I like it, a bargain for a tenner....oh, and ZT , ecigwizard, I ordered a 306 at the same time, tried it yesterday, no draw, discovered, no bloody holes drilled into it for air flow! But they offered straight away to send me out a new one, after I sent them a colourful (I don't mean nasty, folks!) email.

Great review. Fabulous coil on a par with several of my best. ;). I suppose with so much wick stuffed in their the lack of a well may not be such an issue. Be interesting to see how it goes. Like you say, good value if it works.

The well allows for those times where you go "ooooops." This happens so many times for me. It took less than 1 min to blow out the excess liquid and was fine afterwards.
I'm certainly impressed for the money. If it was say £25+, I would not be as impressed.

no it was just prob with the pin not sitting right and not getting and air flow so i just filed the pin flush to the thread and now its fine
