Octopus RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser)

My octopus arrived yesterday and I think it may replace my phoenix for a while. As it was secondhand I rewicked with 4x1mm silica and around 4/5 wraps of .2 kanthal. I cut the wicks at around 1"or so, essentially it is now a short quadraped rather than an octopus :) it vapes great, even with so little wick compared to the precoiled. I put in 14 drops and have had no leakage problems, I do get the occasional slight gurgle when just filled but this disappears after 1 or 2 draws. Overall very happy with it. I will try and change the o rings on the top cap as it is a little loose for my liking or possibly run a little wire in the groove before reinstalling the o rings.

My next step is to change it back to an octopus with a lower ohm coil. I'll report back :)

Rob

Forgot to mention that I absolutely love the thumbscrews to attach the coil, I wish all atomisers has these, even with my fat fingers it was a breeze.

It was meant as a humorous comment based on the fact that a lot of people have ptfe tape knocking around as you don't need to be a plumber to have some, its basic diy kit. And as for the basic dental health care I am fully aware of the uses of dental floss I'm just one of the many millions of people who would class a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a little mouthwash and a six monthly checkup by a dentist as being 'basic dental hygiene' maybe you are a little on the short side if that one went over your head?

I got one of these and for the money I like it am using the coil as is but in fairness mine looks better then James anyway. It works well. I have not used any other dripper so dont have anything to compare it to but for me flavour is good vape is good, so its a winner
