A quick question on Ohms and Volts, If I build a coil that comes in at 1.5 Ohms how many volts should I be aiming to use, with the viva nova I have a 2.8ohms head on it and it seems just right at 4.3v.

Is it a question personal taste or is there a science to it?

the volts you use seems to be able to vary more on Mesh IMO

on silica (like the vivi) go too high and it will taste burned .. not so much on mesh ... (tho you can over cook the juice - in some juices this can actually make an improvement, for instance Grant from GVC recommends tat his vanilla custard is better on silica coz mesh burns it too much .. which is true at a higher voltage - however my preferred method of parting in GVC is on mesh at a low volt so it doesn't get too hot, however on the same mesh and coil Ill vape kentucky maplewood at considerably higer V's coz it benefits from the extra heat)

of course this is all subjective, what one person likes another will hate.

but as a rough guide for me personally i find that 2 v higher than the ohms number +.2 seems to be about right - so for me a 1.5Ohm coil I would get my personal best results about 3.7

So better to start low and work your way up.

thanks
